Eurotique Corsets to Debut New Collection of Bustiers
              at ILS
Eurotique introduces new product line that
retails for under $69 the International Lingerie
                 Show in Las Vegas
Eurotique will be featuring their new collection called Romance by Eurotique at the International Lingerie Show, April 8-10 2013 in Las Vegas, NV in booth 103
Eurotique Corsets has been manufacturing quality steel boned corsets for almost two decades. Their unique designs have kept them in the forefront of the lingerie and apparel industry for several years running. Due to many requests and the need for more affordable products in the marketplace Eurotique has made the decision to start offering Bustiers.
Eurotique was not only looking to reach a broader demographic with their reasonably priced collection, but they also wanted to address the difference between a corset and a bustier. There is a lot of confusion in the marketplace due to marketing campaigns misinforming retailers and consumers. Big brand names are often repeat offenders when it comes to promoting and selling products that are Bustiers but are marketed as corsets. The big question is can consumers tell the difference? In a picture it is very difficult to see the difference, but when consumers feel them and see them next to one another there is a noticeable difference.

The difference between a corset and a bustier comes down to the construction of the garment. Corsets are made with several layers of fabric to reinforce the garment and they have steel boning to help provide structure. Corsets will provide function and form by lifting the bust line and shaping the torso creating an hourglass figure, when properly fitted steel boned corsets can reduce a waistline up to 4 inches. Bustiers are made with plastic boning and no lining, they are designed to be worn as decorative tops, they do not lift your bust nor do they cinch or contour the body.
This spring when Eurotique launches their Romance collection consumers will have the opportunity to feel and compare the garments side by side and then make an educated decision as to which one is better for them. The new Romance collection might be less expensive than a traditional Eurotique corset, but the level of quality and craftsmanship is still apparent. Romance by Eurotique will be available in 14 trendy styles in 5 different colors and it will have an attractive retail price point of $69 or less.
Eurotique is well recognized in the corset community and has been nominated by XBIZ as one of the top 10 Lingerie and Apparel manufactures for 2012 and 2013. Eurotique is known as having high standards regarding producing quality products, great customer service, and reliability. They offer Fullbust, Underbust Waist Cinchers, Fashion Corsets and Women’s Leather Separates. Sizes range from XS-5X and can be made up to 10X.

Introducing LingerieFW: The First Fashion Week For The Intimate Apparel Industry
Womenswear has it. Menswear has it. Swimwear has it. Now Intimates has it. Introducing LingerieFW™: the first Fashion Week dedicated exclusively to the intimate apparel industry. The inaugural season of Lingerie Fashion Week  just made its debut last weekend, showcasing FW13 collections Friday the 22nd & Saturday the 23rd at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. Having only been offered the tradeshow platform in the past, LingerieFW™ is the first Fashion Week to emerge worldwide exclusively dedicated to intimate apparel. Lingerie Fashion Week offers both emerging & established brands ranging from lingerie, loungewear and sleepwear to shapewear, hosiery, lingerie accessories & men's underwear the opportunity to come together as an industry, collectively showcasing new collections via the exciting, progressive and press-driven Fashion Week platform. Event branding is sleek, sophisticated, fashion forward and most importantly innovative, providing a compelling hub designed to propel the intimates industry forward, while giving brands a dynamic stage for maximum media exposure.

Why a Lingerie Fashion Week now? Once considered a niche category, intimate apparel has recently exploded into the forefront of consumerism, having seen a dynamic surge of recognition particularly within the past few years. The industry is now prevalent in just about every area of pop culture, while innerwear-as-outerwear has moved on from being marked a passing trend to an omnipresent, permanent fixture in fashion worldwide. The U.S. women’s intimates and hosiery market alone grew to $14 billion in 2011, up from $13 billion in 2010 (Source: Citi), showing growth in the mid to high single digits per year versus low to mid single digits per year for women’s apparel overall. (Source: Citi). Says LingerieFW™ Founder & Director Lauren Rich:

"It is safe to say intimate apparel has successfully staked its claim as a power player in the greater fashion industry, and as such deserves a high visibility, influential platform to collectively give its growing force of brands their due voice. The goal of LingerieFW™ is to give this voice to the hundreds of beautiful, innovative intimates designers & brands via a channel not only reaching industry but also the consumer – spotlighting & elevating the industry as a whole. Through LingerieFW™, we want to make lingerie & intimates designers household names just as their womenswear counterparts are.”

LingerieFW™ is open to both emerging & established brands worldwide within the following categories: lingerie, loungewear, sleepwear, shapewear, hosiery, lingerie solutions, lingerie accessories, men’s underwear, men's sleepwear and men's loungewear. Land's End's Swimwear Shaping Technology
The swimwear technology offers control around the upper
back area, bustline, hip areas and stomach
Lands' End has introduced what it claims is an "exclusive" new swimwear technology that knits varying levels of tension control into the lining of its swimsuits.
The Sears Holdings-owned apparel company said the idea for swim shaping technology came from the latest high-tech athletic wear, which offers body mapping performance properties.
The technology incorporated into its Shape & Enhance collection includes low tension control at the upper back area, medium tension control at the bustline and hip areas, and maximum tension control at the stomach.

Lands' End said it attempted several designs and swimsuit prototypes over the last two years.
"The Lands' End Shape & Enhance collection is not about completely transforming a woman's figure, but rather provides a little extra help to achieve a flattering swimsuit appearance," said Lands' End swimwear merchandise manager Erin McCormick.
"Women will not only look beautiful and confident in this innovative swimsuit assortment, but they will also be more comfortable and have a range of movement and freedom not always associated with shaping swimwear."
The collection includes swimsuits and tankini tops as well as bikini bottoms, with prices ranging from US$69-169.

Global Cotton Stock
      Forecast Cut
The US government has cut its forecast for global cotton ending stocks or inventory based on higher production, consumption, and trade and expansion of the Chinese cotton reserve.
The revised projections from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) bring its forecasts into line with those from inter-governmental body the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC).
In its latest monthly crop report released on March 8, the USDA said it sees global ending stocks at 81.7m bales in the marketing marketing year to the end of July.
For the US it expects cotton exports to be 250,000 bales higher than earlier forecasts at 12.75m bales, based on strong sales and shipments in recent weeks, with ending stocks at 4.2m bales.
World production is now likely to be about 900,000 bales higher than last month's forecast at 119.87m bales, including a 1.0m bale increase in the China crop.
Production also is raised for Uzbekistan, Mexico, and Turkmenistan, but is reduced for Pakistan and Brazil.
Consumption is raised for China, India, and Bangladesh.
World trade is raised 1.5m bales to 41.92m bales, due mainly to higher imports by China, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Exports are raised for India, the United States, Australia, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, but are lowered for Pakistan.
Earlier this month the ICAC noted that China's "ferocious" cotton buying spree is continuing, but may diminish as reserves match consumption.

Little League Conference
Coach Jones called the young lad in from center field during a Little League game for a conference.
"See here Larry," said the coach, "you know the principles of good sportsmanship that the Little League practices. You also know we don't tolerate temper tantrums, shouting at the umpire, or abusive language. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes, sir," replied Larry.
"Well, then Larry," sighed Coach Jones, "would you please try to explain it to your mother?"
