Applied DNA Sciences Begins Work With Supima To Protect American Grown
           ELS Cotton

Applied DNA Sciences, a provider of DNA-based anti-counterfeiting technology and product authentication solutions, of DNA-based anti-counterfeiting technology and product authentication solutions, announced that it has entered into an agreement and started working in collaboration with Supima, a non-profit trade association of the American Pima cotton growers. The collaboration is based on usage of APDN’s New SigNature T platform to mark, identify, and protect U.S. grown American Pima, one of the most desirable luxury cotton fibers in the world, from counterfeiting and blending.
Work began on the effort as of November 18, 2013, with the SigNature T marking of millions of kilograms (kgs) of cotton at a major cotton grower. The work should continue through the end of February, with nearly 50 million kgs of American Pima or Extra Long Staple (ELS) cotton in a steady manufacturing run.
The non-profit Supima organization is composed of Pima growers from the states of Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. Supima strives to improve the quality of American Pima, including the assurance to its member companies and consumers that cotton with the registered trademark Supima® label is geniune. Users of the Supima® brand name must be licensed for the use of that name; authentication of the SigNature T mark in the downstream processes will prevent counterfeits and blended cotton from being sold as genuine Supima® products.
Now that the work of protecting some of the American Pima raw cotton fiber by applying the Signature T mark has commenced, users of American Pima will start to be able to prove its identity and originality using a forensic lab test. The marker has been tested and proven to resist all manner of washings, chemical treatments, heat, dying, and other threats. It is a permanent, unique and uncopyable marker of authenticity for Supima.
Working with APDN, Supima is now able to help its licensees prove originality and identity of the American Pima cotton at all stages of the supply chain and on a finished garment at the retail level. American Pima authenticity can be assured at every step along the supply chain: from spinners to weavers, from fabric mills to designers to retailers and consumers.
Over 350-fine count textile mills, manufacturers and retailers from around the world are licensed to use the Supima® brand; licenses are given only to select, high-quality textile mills, apparel and textile manufacturers, and retailers whose products are made of 100% American Pima cotton. Authentication can potentially be performed at any of these textile mills, manufacturers and retailers globally.
Said Jesse Curlee, President of Supima: “We are determined to protect our brand from cotton purveyors who sell inferior and diluted goods, illegally using the Supima® brand. This is the finest cotton in the world, and we are excited to help APDN blaze the trail in protecting luxury cotton from counterfeiting.”
About Applied DNA Sciences
APDN is a provider of botanical-DNA based security and authentication solutions that can help identify and protect products, brands and intellectual property of companies, governments and consumers from theft, counterfeiting, fraud and diversion. SigNature® DNA and DNAnet®, our principal anti-counterfeiting and product authentication solutions that essentially cannot be copied, provide a forensic chain of evidence and can be used to prosecute perpetrators.
The statements made by APDN may be forward-looking in nature. Forward-looking statements describe APDN’s future plans, projections, strategies and expectations, and are based on assumptions and involve a number of risks and uncertainties, many of which are beyond the control of APDN. Actual results could differ materially from those projected due to our short operating history, limited financial resources, limited market acceptance, market competition and various other factors detailed from time to time in APDN’s SEC reports and filings, including our Annual Report on Form 10-K, filed on December 20, 2012 and our subsequent quarterly reports on Form 10-Q. APDN undertakes no obligation to update publicly any forward-looking statements to reflect new information, events or circumstances after the date hereof to reflect the occurrence of unanticipated events.

In This Season of Giving, Urges Everyone
to Remember Charitable      Organizations, the premier online erotica site for women, announces the winner of November’s Philanthropic Donation Program, as chosen monthly by the site’s community members: Congalese music group The Orchestre Symphonique Kimbanguiste. will grant a portion of the site’s November’s profits to Central Africa’s only symphony orchestra - and the world’s only all-black orchestra - to assist in the building of a music school in the Congo’s capital city of Kinshasa. This area is among the poorest on the planet , and the 200+ members of the orchestra and choir rely on donations for support.
“With the holidays upon us, it’s important to spread the word about giving to charitable organizations,” said founder Angie Rowntree. “We often get caught up in our day-to-day lives, but during this season of giving we stop and reflect on how lucky we are to have so much, while so many others do not.”
In September’s community members voted to donate to humanitarian group Doctors Without Borders, the global organization helping those in urgent need of medical aid; in October Puppies Behind Bars, the coalition that trains inmates to raise service dogs for wounded war veterans and law enforcement was the members’ choice.
“Our goal with this company was to create an unrestricted online structure that would bring together positive, like-minded women with a focus on their adventurous fantasies,” said Rowntree, “but we have found much more in our group… a real willingness to share, support and give. I’m proud of what has become – and is becoming – every day.”’s members will select each month’s beneficiary – giving women a voice in ensuring dollars go where they will do the most good.
Each month’s beneficiary will be announced at the beginning of the following month. Organizations and foundations that would like to be included may email
