Ex-Worker Stole S$1.32M
from Ban Joo
Textile maker Ban Joo believes a former employee might have stolen
about S$1.32m of the company's funds.
According to a report by Dow Jones, a police report was filed on August 24, and police are still probing the allegation.

Buttock Bras
Japanese women have been turning to what have become know as buttock bras to give them shape.
Also known as ‘hip-up’ girdles, panties or briefs, several top lingerie businesses have been
capitalizing on what some say is a kink in the Japanese psyche that perceives all non-Asians to be
curvier and in possession of well-rounded bottoms.
Angle-Miyuki reports that its registered trademark 'Buttocks bra' is selling briskly while Fujibo Apparel, known for its BV brand,
offers ‘body-shaper’ underwear with firm satin-knit waistbands and tight-stretching material around the hips.
Fujibo said its lines for both men and women had been flying off the shelves.

Slimma
PLC Acquires
Splendour
Mail order retailer Slimma PLC announced it has completed the acquisition of the Splendour lingerie brand.
Although no financial details were disclosed, the company said the cost of the acquisition will be met by the company's existing facilities
Employees responsible for the sales, marketing and design of the Splendour brand will be joining Slimma following the acquisition, the company said.

Sharon Stone to Appear
in New
Badgley Mischka Ads
Sharon Stone is to appear in design house Badgley Mischka's new
advertising campaign.
The star of films including Basic Instinct, Catwoman and Casino will feature in a campaign launching in October issues of magazines
including Vogue, Elle and InStyle among others.
The ads follow the successful launch campaign last season featuring Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen.
Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka said: "Our collection represents Hollywood glamour with a modern twist and Sharon
epitomizes this look.
Stone added: "I've known Mark and James for many years ever since they brought their gorgeous gowns to my house and spread them all
over my living room.
"Since then, I've always thought of wearing their dress like going to a great party - they're fun, elegant and intricately detailed."
Badgley Mischka has been hailed by Vogue as among the top ten American designers.
