Officials from
the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) have
drawn up a series of strict new standards for leather products in
case
technical trade and environmental trade barriers are established in
the
future. The standards aim to limit the use of harmful chemicals,
such
as azo-dye, in leather products, in line with the world's major
leather
importers.
Leather products that meet the specifications will be marked with
the
Genuine Leather Mark for Ecological Leather, a certification
trademark registered with the State Administration for Industry and
Commerce.
China has around 16,000 leather enterprises which last year churned
out six billion pairs of shoes and 70 million leather garments.

SPECULATION has run rampant that Debbie Rowe is the mother of Michael 
Jackson's third child. But picking up a line from his song "Billie Jean," the former Mrs. Jacko declares: "The kid is not my son!"
The baby boy is being introduced by The Gloved One as "Prince Michael II." He isn't identifying the mommy, although sources close to him have claimed the baby was conceived "the natural way."
But Debbie — who gave birth to Jackson's other children, Prince Michael, 5, and 4-year-old Paris — "denies rumors that she's the mom of the third child," said an insider.
"She says she wouldn't fulfill that function again for $100 million.
"Michael basically used her as a hatchery for Prince Michael and Paris. And he has isolated her from their children. He even demanded she give a month's notice before any visit to his Neverland estate.
"She has said on the rare occasions she did get to visit, she had to go through a sanitation procedure before being allowed to touch her own children!
"Debbie doesn't know who's the mother of his latest baby."
