Who has the lowest prices??
Discount rivals Target Corp and Kmart Corp have both claimed victory in their recent spat over low prices. Target says it forced Kmart to "surrender the national ad campaign", while Kmart says its BlueLight Always launch "forced Target to withdraw its claims."
The two companies fell out over Kmart's 'Dare to Compare' campaign, which boasted that prices on certain items beat those of competitive stores,
including Target. In August, Target sued Kmart claiming that 'Dare to Compare' signs constituted false advertising. Kmart, meanwhile, hit back saying that it would "vigorously defend" its right to compare prices.
Last week, Kmart began removing all price comparisons to rivals, and Target in turn withdrew its motion for a temporary restraining order.
A Kmart spokesman says that its 'Dare to Compare' campaign has been replaced by the 'BlueLight Always' campaign - in which Kmart has
permanently lowered prices on 30,000 products - and that the decision to change was made before Target filed its
lawsuit.

Sequin sales climb as designers embrace sparkle
NEW YORK -- Sequins are no longer reserved for evening
gowns and tap recital costumes. Based on recent ready-to-wear trade fairs in the U.K., this season will see them and other trimmings snatched up by casualwear
designers.
Denim is ubiquitous this year, so designers are making their versions of the staple fabric stand out with special
accents. Decorated denim is taking off as sequin strips are sewn down the side seams of jeans or along pockets.
Designers from Marc Jacobs to Versace are getting in on the action, adding rhinestones and shimmery beads to
their denim creations. British label Arrogant Cat covers its jeans with so much sparkle that you can barely glimpse
the original fabric.
T-shirt producers are also getting in on the action, adorning the casual tops with sequins and rhinestones
along with lace, ribbon rosettes and even trailing streamers. New York label Heatherette helped bring the
craze to the masses when they created the
rhinestone-studded "Carrie" T that Sarah Jessica Parker wears in the show's promotional posters.

Grandpa and Grandma, a redhead, were living with their son and
daughter-in-law. Grandpa noticed that his son had a bottle of Viagra and asked if he could have one.

His son said, "Dad, I don't think you should take one, they're very strong and
expensive."
Grandpa said, "I know, but I want to try one. How much are they??" His son
replied, "$10 each." Grandpa only had a $50 bill but was going to the bank. He
told his son that he would leave $10 under his pillow that night.
The next morning his son found $110 under his pillow and said, "Dad, I told you
it was only $10. There's $110 under my pillow!"
Grandpa said, "That's ok, the other $100 is from Grandma!"

The Prince meets Nicole
A troupe of 15 leg-kicking, frilly knicker-flashing Moulin Rouge dancers greeted an amused Prince of Wales, as he arrived at
London's Leicester Square last night for the UK royal premiere of director Baz Luhrmann's pop spectacular Moulin Rouge. Stars Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor were also on hand to greet the hundreds of cheering fans.
Kidman, in a simple black high-necked and backless dress from Jean-Paul Gaultier's Winter 2002 Couture collection, accessorized with his trademark Chinese-influenced gold jewelry.
The star admitted that she had been practicing her curtsey for Prince Charles.
Luhrmann's fellow Australian, pint-sized pop pixie Kylie Minogue, who plays the Green Fairy in the film, also made an appearance, as did fellow co-star Jim Broadbent. Helena Bonham Carter, Christina Ricci, Richard E. Grant, Jemima Khan and a host of home-grown talent joined them.
After the screening, everyone (including the leggy can-can girls) headed for another spectacle: the "One Night of Sin" after-show party at the Tobacco Dock, where themed Moulin Rouge
cocktails, topless dancers and waitresses in heart-shaped knickers awaited the party-goers.

One day after testifying before a California legislative committee on what she claims are corrupt business practices by the recording
industry, Courtney Love was in court September 6, 2001 to defend herself against a Geffen Records lawsuit. Love poses as she arrives at the Vanity Fair post-Academy Awards party at Mortons in Los Angeles.

Fashion Week Spring 2002: The Two Faces of Fashion
The season's sheer fashions dictate that closer attention be paid to lingerie.
There are two ways to dress for the rumored recession: dark and dreary, or bright and festive. The first reflects the
depressing economic news, the second rejects it.
Each of the young designers who showed collections at the women's Spring 2002 fashion
shows yesterday staked one of those positions.
Ilona Rich, daughter of billionaire fugitive Marc Rich (news - web sites) and his ex-wife,
Denise, presented her collection in her mother's sumptuous Fifth Ave. penthouse. The kooky brunette and mother of three isn't exactly strapped for cash, and that carefree attitude
showed in her exuberant collection.

Strip Aerobics Is Hot in Los Angeles
WASHINGTON - Lots of exercisers take off a T-shirt when they get hot, but these aerobic dancers might not stop
there.
At the Crunch health club chain, the latest dance sensation is strip aerobics. Its developer bills Cardio Strip Tease as adult fun for everyone.
``People want to know how to strip,'' said choreographer Jeff Costas.
And it's not just to develop a skill to impress their
partners. ``When someone takes that big old T-shirt off their body, and they can see their body and see what they are doing at that moment, the workout is so effective.''
