An elderly couple were sitting on their front porch one evening, when the wife, a redhead, picks up her cane and
whaps her husband across the shins.
"Damn, woman! What the hell was that for?" he yells.
"That's for 60 years of bad sex," she replies.
A few minutes later, the husband picks up his cane and whaps
his wife across the shins.
"Ow!!" she yells. "What the hell was THAT for??"
The husband looks at her and says,
"That's for knowing the difference."

Submitted By Eugene Finkei (Exposure on line)
Here is a pictorial I did some years back for the
Playboy
Organization
(not Playboy Magazine),

a parody on the Hollywood film stars from the 20's to 30's. I started with
a photo of Jean Harlow, published in Vanity Fair in the 30's, sitting in a
white armchair, suspended in the air.
We scoured the film studios property departments, but did not find the
chair, so I had one built according to the original photo.

We did have the original gown, though - my model, who was a fanatical fan
of Jean Harlow (and danced under that name, too!), had the the whole collection of JH original gowns in her wardrobe. So we did her
in the chair and some other shots, to utilize the gowns.

Then I did Mae West, (Above) the outfits were culled from the Paramount
Property department and were thought to be from the period of MW's
greatest fame, but there is no certainty that she ever wore them.

Then there is a shot of Anna-May Wong in a gown she might have worn in her
boudoir, but never in a movie!

Clothing Shoppers Vote M&S Number 1
A new survey by Mintel found that Marks & Spencer is the number one choice for British clothing shoppers when it comes to basic clothing items.

The survey - carried out during the first half of this year, and involving 2,000 shoppers - found that
49 per cent of respondents named M&S as their first choice for clothing, with 41 per cent
choosing them for basics such as socks and underwear, and 19 per cent for work outfits and formal dress.
Although only 13 per cent selected M&S for more expensive items, the firm still managed to beat retailers such as
Debenhams (8 per cent) and Next (7 per cent). However, most shoppers questioned said they preferred to buy such
goods at smaller, more specialised outlets.

Naked Newscaster Site to Become Show
TORONTO - It begins like any other newscast, with the presenter in front of a blue backdrop, a tiny portable microphone curving in front of her mouth. A few minutes later, the microphone is all she
wears.
Victoria Sinclair keeps a straight face as she reads the major stories of the day while stripping on
NakedNews.com, the Internet site ``with nothing to hide.''
Launched just under two years ago with Sinclair as the single Webcaster, NakedNews.com today has
12 presenters - eight women and four men - to attract more than 6 million ``unique visitors'' a month,
said Kathy Pinckert, vice president of Naked Broadcasting Network Inc., which produces
NakedNews.com.

Lyon Mode City Show

This Fabulous well known show in Lyon France which had a three day
run ending Sept. 3rd. had an attendance of 18,836 visitors, up 2% over
last years figures.
Buyers were pleased with what they saw and came away smiling.
Details in the Fabric and designs made the
difference to most buyers, as they liked the 3 dimensional embroideries
and mesh treatments.
Bustiers seem to be a strong attention getter, as well as scalloped
treatments on Bra straps.
Basic lingerie seems to be in the doldrums right now,
sales are going with the fresh look and forward looking novelty items,
such as the "Fur trimmed corsets" and press on rhinestone
treatments.
There were 400 Lingerie Manufacturers, 270 Swimwear and another 370
Textile company's exhibiting.
The Goodfellowship Corset Club will have a report on the Lyon show @ the
New York Helmsley Hotel, 212 E 42nd. street, on Oct 9th.
A panel of Barbara Lipton VP & DMM of Saks 5th Ave., Joycean
Cooney-Curran, editor-in-chief, BFIA, and Norbert Klauber of Klauber
Brothers will highlight the trends of the shows.

Argentine Retailers Reach for Sales
Do
you think you have it bad???
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - The tango dancers move in unison to the beat, but the flash of fishnet stockings and the squeak of leather dance shoes seems out of place in the food court of a
Buenos Aires shopping mall.
It's hardly a smoke-filled tango bar, but the free show staged at the Galerias Pacifico mall is a sign of
the times: A deep economic crisis has any Argentine retailers stretching their creativity to get customers
to pry open their wallets.
