Mammogram Reminders
Macy's has a new look in many of its fitting rooms- mammogram reminders. It's Macy's way to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness month in October and urge women to get screened for breast cancer.
The messages were installed the first week of October at Macy's Herald Square, where there are a total of 98 fitting rooms on floors 2, 3, 5, and 6. Fitting rooms at the Macy's in Queens Center, Kings Plaza, downtown Brooklyn, Staten Island and Parkchester in the Bronx also have messages that read: "A friendly reminder ... Talk to your doctor to schedule a breast exam, and if you're 40 or older, get your annual mammogram. For information on free or low-cost services, call 311 or visit www.nyc.gov."

A New WAY to Pay With Humboldt Merchant Services
Humboldt Merchant Services (HMS) recently announced a new WAY to pay
for mobile merchants. HMS is now proud to support the Way System MTT1556 credit card processing terminal. This new mobile processing
device was debuted at the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas the first week of October during Specialty Trade Shows Monday Night
Fashion Show.
“The response to this unit has been excellent!,” states HMS Vice President Steve Kimberling. “I am always looking for new products
and services that fit the intimate apparel and novelty industries.
The WAY System terminal is a perfect fit for the growing number of
home party merchants we service. Additionally, many distributors are looking at this device as a way to get swiped rates for their
transactions.”
The MTT1556 communicates via the Cingular Network and transactions can be processed anywhere there is coverage. Transactions are
processed in as little as 6-8 seconds and the unit communicates wirelessly to a receipt printer providing both a merchant receipt and
a customer copy. One unique feature of the MTT1556 is the ability to accept Pin-based debit cards on a wireless device. Up until now
pin-debit has been a convenience only seen by brick-and-mortar locations.
HMS continues to focus on every aspect of the intimate apparel and novelty industries. Manufacturers, wholesalers, eTailers, retailers,
and home party merchants can all see unique benefits of HMS with new product offerings and reduced pricing.
Speaking of reduced pricing…. Due to overwhelming response to the MTT1556 HMS will be extending its introductory pricing through
December 2007! The processing terminal is priced at $545 and the printer at $199, but until December the printer will be included at
no additional cost! Call Steve Kimberling for details! Ph: 877-635-3339 Fax 602-636-8081

Enchanted's New Packaging
by Luis Paredes
Enchanted, a high-end lounge wear line, is rolling out new packaging for its holiday collection. Inspired by the often decadent, but always luxurious Godiva chocolates, Enchanted's new packaging looks like a chocolate box and is dressed in dark, coco shades.
Janice Grossman, Enchanted designer, wants customers to be tempted by the box and delve right into her luxury garments.
"We not only wanted to make our packaging to look interesting, but be interesting. It's a luxury item," noted Grossman. "We want to be the Godiva of the lounge wear industry."
The company's very own Ronie Reeves designed the packaging and it will be assembled overseas in China. Enchanted is known for it's high-end, cashmere, silk-lined pajamas and negligees. Anyone interested in more information on Enchanted should call
(212) 239-4600.
-Luis Paredes is a freelance journalist and
graphic designer with extensive trade experience in the intimate apparel
industry. His work focuses on the marketing and communication design
efforts of intimate apparel companies. His design studio, Seven

Celebrating Halloween
An old couple who hadn't celebrated Halloween in a long time decided to dress up and go out.
The old woman went into her bedroom, stripped naked and tied a lemon between her legs.
When she came out, the old man cried, "You can't go out like that!"
She said, "I can go any way I like and so can you."
Whereupon he retired to the bedroom and came out stark raving naked with a potato tied to his tallywhacker.
The old woman says, you're going out like that?"
He replies, "Yep, if you can go as a sour-puss, I can go as a dick-tator.
