    Agent Provocateur For
                   Sale?
Private equity firm 3i is among the parties thought to be taking a peek at lingerie firm Agent Provocateur as its celebrity founders review its ownership.
The prospect of a sale was raised when estranged husband and wife team Serena Rees and Vivienne Westwood's son Joe Corre, drafted in former Lambert Howarth chief executive Garry Hogarth as a consultant and potential investor last year. Agent P has a high profile thanks to raunchy ads featuring stars such as actress Maggie Gyllenhaal. Industry sources suggest the price tag is 'toppy' - it made a small loss on £9m sales in the year to March 2006.
'No decision has been taken about the future of the company, the board is considering many different avenues,' said a spokeswoman. 3i declined to comment.

21/24
               Only in America...
.....do drugstores make the sick walk all the way to the back of the store to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front.
.....do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters.
.....do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and put our useless junk in the garage.
.....do we buy hot dogs in packages of ten and buns in packages of eight.
.....do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.
.....do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering.

Dear Andy,
I am looking for silk cashmere lycra for one Canadian customer, does it exist? It is mainly for golf shirts .
Thank you
Ginette Provost Flatow

Dear Ginette: it may be a stock item, but this construction, sounds to me, like it was custom made.
