M&S Still Europe's Largest Clothing Retailer
UK high street giant Marks & Spencer remains Europe's largest clothing retailer despite axing all its overseas operations, a new report revealed on Monday.
According to market analysts Mintel, M&S is still the continent’s biggest fashion vendor due to the resilience of British consumers who have snapped up its recent collections in record numbers.
The study adds that Philip Green’s acquisition of Arcadia will boost his clothing empire to third in the apparel retailers’ list.

They're lacy and seductive, fancy or plain, colorful, clingy, stretchy, small, large and made from almost every fabric imaginable.
The problem is, many of them just don't fit right.
Bras, a wardrobe essential for nearly every woman in the modern world, are big business. And they've come a long way since the 1960s, when the sultry, bosomy actress Jane Russell touted Playtex's revolutionary "Cross-Your-Heart" technology.
But the majority of women are still strutting around wearing ill-fitting cups, bands that ride up, and straps and underwires that dig in, says bra maker Bali, the brand that introduced "Wonderbra," and is a unit of food and consumer goods maker Sara Lee.
Seven in 10 women in the United States, in fact, are wearing the wrong size bra, according to Bali.
In an effort to correct the situation and boost the bottom line at Sara Lee's Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based intimate apparel unit, Bali in August began sending a team of some 200 bra fitters across the country, armed with tape measures and gentle advice, to help women find the right size and style for them.

A model walks a Beirut runway showcasing a Saudi designer's bloodstained

The "revolutionary" new dress, designed "in solidarity with
the Palestinian uprising against Israel," was on display for Lebanese
fashionistas.
With its depictions of bloodstains, bullet holes and tanks moving through
a desolate rock-strewn landscape, the floor-length gown was featured as
part of a collection at an Arab fashion festival which coincided with New

Respectful remembrance seems to be the theme for New York retailers on the first anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
Throughout the city, storefronts had paid simple tribute to the horror and the heroism of that day.
Window displays were stripped and displays such as the above were evident in
stores such as the Banana Republic, Bloomingdale's, Barneys, Henri Bendel's,
Saks, & Calvin Klein. and many more.

Naomi 'married' riddle
NAOMI Campbell’s topsy-turvy love life took another bizarre twist last
night — when the supermodel announced she had “married” her latest boyfriend.
Bad-tempered Naomi has been touring the Mediterranean with Spanish lover Enrique Palacio.
Asked by Italian magazine Chi when they would get hitched, Naomi replied: “We are already married.”
Onlookers said they saw rings on the couple’s wedding fingers as they enjoyed a steamy clinch aboard a canal boat in Venice.
But cynics believe it is yet another attention-seeking stunt by Naomi, 32, following a series of false claims about the men in her life.
Enrique, in his mid-20s, is a Milan-based model. The romance emerged two weeks ago as he and Naomi cruised the islands of southern Italy.
The pair are now at the Venice Film Festival, where Enrique is keeping a low profile.
Shopping for Lingerie
in Prague, Czech Republic
Above are the outdoor Kiosk's which seem to be prevalent in
Prague throughout the city and nearby suburbs. Lacey garments
prevail and most merchandise seems to be made not only in the Czech
Republic, but from China, Italy, France and Germany. However most lingerie
is sold in small but fine shops throughout the city.(See below) Note: 99 KC is equal
to $3.30 US. Everything here is of course, is Cash & Carry.

Inquiry:
Maybe you can direct me to a supplier or
talk to people who can help
meet a great market need.
I have been looking globally (via the Internet) to find truly sensual
men's lingerie. 99% of what is marketed as "men's
lingerie" is of the
novelty variety and has no practical daily wear value. The only
company
that makes anything fairly sensual is JG's mensware http://JG2.com
and
their line is very limited. Currently, I, and a host of other men
wear
women's panties because there are no companies manufacturing fine
underwear for men.
1) Do you know of any company that makes lingerie for men made out of
lightweight nylon, microfiber or satin?
2) Do you know of any companies who are seeking ideas to start a men's
line of underwear, if so I have some design ideas.
Lastly, on another topic, can you direct me to a store that actually
sells genuine satin underwear? As you know there are 5 types of
satin
and 99.9% of what is sold as "satin" is really only a polyester
blend.
Thanks for any input. Sincerely, a seeker bliichow@juno.com
