Victoria's Secret & Spice 
          Girls Team Up
Victoria’s Secret will be the first US retailer to sell the forthcoming Spice Girls greatest hits album, in a bid to lure fans of the 'girl power' pop group.
The retailer has partnered with Capitol Music for the exclusive release of the CD, called Spice Girls: Greatest Hits. It will be available for purchase only in Victoria's Secret retail stores and on the company's website in the US from November 13, before becoming available throughout the US from January 15.
Victoria's Secret said the CD can also be pre-ordered for a period of 24 hours between midnight on October 17 and midnight on October 18 online.
The recently reformed group, who are about to embark on a one-off world tour, will also make their reunion US television debut at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, on December 4.
"I am delighted to be working with Victoria's Secret on the Greatest Hits album and welcome their innovative approach to marketing," said Simon Fuller, CEO and founder of 19 Entertainment, which manages the Spice Girls.

Lingerie Americas Las Vegas
The first-ever edition of Lingerie Americas Las Vegas (which ran August 26 thru 28 on Level Four of The Venetian Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas) attracted 1,762 visitors, who kept the 130 intimate apparel and swimwear brands busy showing collections and taking orders. Many of the visitors who attended never made the trip to the New York show in the past, providing exhibitors with the opportunity to meet new customers. The event also featured well-attended seminars, a cocktail party and raffle, and even a visit by singer and actress Courtney Love.
“After two years of planning, we are thrilled with the success of our first show in Las Vegas, and that we opened on Sunday, before the other major fashion trade shows, since that turned out to be the busiest day,” said Patrice Argain, CEO, Lingerie Americas. “Exhibitors reported being very satisfied with the show, mentioning that it gave them the opportunity to meet new clients from the West Coast and from Canada, and to meet existing clients face-to-face for the first time. We look forward to continuing to build the Las Vegas show each season.”
A mix of international Fashion names (Betsey Johnson Intimates, Oscar de la Renta, Elle Macpherson Intimates, Ed Hardy Intimates) as well as established leaders in the industry (Bendon Group, Calida, Carole Hochman Group, Eveden, Natori, Van de Velde) showcased the newest fashions. 
In addition, all of the French manufacturers that play a significant role in the US market (Aubade, Barbara, Chantelle, Empreinte, Huit, Lejaby, Lou, Princesse tam.tam, Rosy, Ravage, Simone Perele) and a selection of recognized young designer brands, (Bijoux Beach, Blush, Clo, Kumi Kookoon, Letters of Marque, Marlies Dekkers, Nina V, Ondademar, Touché, Wendy Glez) were spotlighted.
“Eveden Inc. Fit School Seminar” was held daily and presented by Frederika Zappe, Eveden National Fit Specialist, and Jim West, Director of Marketing and Product Development for Eveden Inc. US. Buyers learned basic to advanced techniques for fitting Full Busted and Full Figured customers. The seminar was so popular that afterwards, a group of ladies joined Frederika for private fittings and then moved onto lunch together in the show’s café.
Over 50 visitors joined Sarah Daniels, Publisher, Intimate Apparel Business Magazine, for her panel discussion “What Women Want: Taking Your Business to the Next Level” on Monday, August 27. The seminar was intended for manufacturers and retailers who want to grow their businesses, but need a clearer picture of what the customer really wants, and provided details on how to make informed business decisions based on that feedback. Sarah Daniels presented an industry overview and statistics on what customers want (attitudes, buying habits, and customer service). Featured speakers included:
• Brandon Roberts, published trend writer and trend consultant for companies such as AdCreep, Urban Outfitters and Adidas
• Janine Blain, West Coast Director for The Doneger Group, the leading source of global market trends and merchandising strategies for the retail and fashion industry
• Tia Lyn, lingerie designer and manufacturer
• Nina Warner, retail store owner, Bittersweet Butterfly in Los Angeles
• Marisa Pocci, the "typical" upscale boutique consumer, lawyer and fine lingerie connoisseur
And, at The Best of Intima’s Lounge, visitors viewed the ever-popular “Shop Scouting Worldwide” ongoing video featuring a selection of the best lingerie and beachwear stores from around the world.
Lingerie Americas and The Best of Intima magazine invited lingerie professionals to a Cocktail Party on Sunday, August 26 to celebrate the 2007 edition of the Best Shop Awards and the launch of the new show. During the party, a raffle was held offering two buyers and one exhibitor the opportunity to have Lingerie Americas pick up their tab for two hotel nights during the show.
Celebrity Courtney Love spent two hours at Lingerie Americas. She visited exhibitors Marlies Dekkers, Letters of Marque (by actress Stacey Dash), Chantelle, Betsey Johnson, Elle Macpherson Intimates, Wendy Glez, Glam Cashmere, among others. Her rep said, “At the suggestion of a friend, Courtney Love attended the Las Vegas shows (stopping at Lingerie Americas first) to fulfill a life-long dream of designing her own line of clothes. She worked both as a wardrobe assistant on films and in the wardrobe department at Paramount Pictures prior to finding fame and fortune as a pioneering rock star. Ms. Love has been fielding various offers to embark on such a venture. With her knowledge and extensive experience cutting and fitting, she remains selective until she finds the right partner(s) to collaborate with.

              Not Too Drunk
Larry wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table. He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. Larry looks around the room and sees that it is in a perfect order, spotless, clean. So's the rest of the house. He takes the aspirins and notices a note on the table "Honey, breakfast is on the stove, I left early to go shopping. Love you." 
So he goes to the kitchen and sure enough there is a hot breakfast and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Larry asks, Son, what happened last night?" His son says, "Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and delirious. Broke some furniture, puked in the hallway, and gave yourself a black eye when you stumbled into the door."
Confused, Larry asks, "So, why is everything in order and so clean, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me?"
His son replies, "Oh that! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, I think she was going to castrate and then kill you, and when she tried to take your pants off you said, "Lady leave me alone, I'm married."
