Textiles Company Finpart
Declared Bankrupt
Textiles company Finpart has been declared insolvent by a Milan
court after it failed to repay debt.
The court refused Finpart’s plea to be given more time to pick
itself up following its failure to pay back a €200 million bond in
July 2004.
In addition, two creditors revealed in February that the company
owed them about €12m.

bebe Reports Q1 22.4%
Increase
Women’s apparel and accessories company bebe Stores has met
forecasts with its first-quarter results, but is taking a cautious approach to second-quarter predictions.
bebe reported a 22.4% net sales jump to $126.2 million from $103.1m in the third quarter last year, while previously-reported same-store
sales rose 17.3% compared to growth of 12.5% a year ago.
First-quarter net earnings totaled $13.6m compared with $11.4m last year.
The company expects to spend $33m on new stores, store expansions and renovations, information technology systems and office
improvements in 2006.
bebe stores designs, develops and produces contemporary women's apparel and accessories, and currently operates 224 stores in the
US, Puerto Rico and Canada.

Intimate London Body
& Beach Cancels
February Show
The organizers of the Intimate London Body & Beach trade fair have
decided not to stage the event as originally planned in February 2006 – but say the summer show will go ahead as usual.
The company stated that the decision was reached in consultation
with other leading trade show organizers in the UK as a result of the congested national and international show calendar.
The later timing of the major intimate apparel trade show in Paris
(Salon International) has also influenced the move.
Intimate London Body & Beach show will now take place once a year. The next event will run from 30 July to 1 August 2006 at Earls
Court 2, London.

$12.5 Million Bra
The latest unmentionable from Victoria's Secret is also unaffordable -- at least for everyone I know. The "Sexy Splendor Fantasy Bra" features a 101-carat flawless, pear-shaped diamond and 2,900 other diamonds. Cost? A cool $12.5 million. The
company says the gold-and-diamond bra will be in the Victoria's Secret "Christmas Dreams and Fantasies" catalog, available at the end of October.

Van de Velde To Expand
Selected as the location for a new product development center, Hungary will play an important role in the ambitious expansion plans of Belgian luxury lingerie maker Van de Velde SA. As part of plans to double its manufacturing capacity in the CEE region, the group has recently moved mass production from Szekszárd, western Hungary, to Cluj Napoca, Romania, while boosting staff at the Szekszárd plant from 400 to 450 to focus on limited series. The first unit in a chain of Van de Velde brand stores will open in Budapest soon.

Marilyn Manson's bride-to-be Dita Von Teese has vowed that
their wedding will be classy and sophisticated - unlike Britney Spears and Kevin Federline's tracksuit reception last year.
The striptease dancer, who was disgusted at the his 'n' hers matching velour tracksuits worn by Spears and her groom, has put
a great deal of thought into every layer of her outfit, determined to show the TOXIC star how things are done.
She says, "Whatever we do, it'll be much more glamorous that Britney's wedding. Fancy wearing a pair of old tracksuit!

Man Caught with $20 Thousand in Stolen

And Shoes
A New York man faces charges after allegedly stealing 342 bras from a Victoria's Secret store in Greenwich.
Police say they found Ricardo Salazar of New York in a van with twenty-thousand-dollars worth of lingerie and shoes. He also had
a device used to remove anti-theft tags.
The Officer says he's not sure how someone could take so many bras without anyone noticing, and Victoria's Secret isn't
commenting.
The stolen bras worth more than 14-thousand dollars were in all different sizes and colors. Police say they also found more than
800 dollars worth of Victoria's Secret sleepwear and more than five-thousand dollars worth of shoes from a different store.
Off-duty Greenwich police officers saw Salazar acting strangely and carrying a J-C Penney bag on Greenwich Avenue. Since
there's no J-C Penney store nearby, they stopped Salazar.

Three little ducks go into a Bar
"Say, what's your name?" the bartender asked the first duck.
"Huey," was the reply.
"How's your day been, Huey?"
"Great. Lovely day. Had a ball. Been in and out of puddles all day. What else could a duck want?" said Huey.
