This from a "Dear Abby"
article.
I am a recycling nut. I throw nothing away that can possibly be recycled. I have long used worn-out panty hose as stuffing material, or cut it into strips to tie back house and garden plants.
But my newest discovery is fantastic: Cut the panty hose off about one-half inch below the panty line, cut out the crotch, slip it over your head, and voila! -- you have the neatest strapless bra.
The control-top hose are firm enough to hold my 90-year-old sagging breasts, and it's very comfortable. No stays, no wires, no stiff cloth. Wherever you wear it, it stays -- high or low. I just had to share this idea. -- MISSOURI RECYCLER
This is a Great Uplifting idea and will contribute
greatly to the recycling effort.

The International Lingerie Show at the
Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas
This show has become the largest lingerie show held in the United States. Buyers come from all over the world to work the show.
While the tone of the show definitely leans to the sexy and adult, there are plenty of lines offering daywear, intimate apparel, normal sleepwear and loungewear. The show also features dancewear, clubwear, swimwear, sexy shoes, hosiery and associated items.
If you see a
manufacturer that interests you, feel free to contact them, and tell them
that you saw them in the
McPete-Sez

TWA
(Terrible Would
Apply)
On a recent return from Las Vegas, I had arrived early for my 1st leg from
Vegas to St. Louis with a connection in St. Louis to Newark, so I took a
standby flight and sent my baggage on directly to Newark . On
my arrival in St. Louis I went to the desk to get on the standby flight to
Newark which was 3 hours earlier than my original
reservation..... "Sorry
Sir" (They Said) But we cannot
allow you on standby, its against our policy since you bought your tickets
from Hotwire on the internet and NOT from TWA...
After complaining to 1 superior and then to another superior.. but to no avail.
I finally had to sit and watch a huge Jet liner takeoff with only 32 people on
board (with my luggage) for home without me....and then wait for my
original flight, 3 HOURS LATER. .
Terrible Would Apply.....

For our Readers
Dear McPete, I usually don't write letters, but I am disturbed by the opinions that I am hearing such as "this isn't the appropriate time to say this or that" . In this country it is always the time to voice your opinion. When I wave a flag it is to honor the people who gave us the freedom to say and think (and sell) what we want. There is no security without freedom of speech. It is not a necessary tradeoff. I also feel that with our freedoms come responsibilities to be informed and educated, but even the most closed mind still can voice their opinions. I just want to be there to balance out the other side.
Thank you, I enjoy your newsletter, Keep up the good work and voice your opinions when you see fit.

Hi McPete /Readers, Please kindly advise if you recommend any bridge/designer level contract manufacturers in NYC for swimwear or lingerie?
Also can you recommend some bridge/designer level fabric mills specializing in lingerie or swimwear fabrics?
Thanks so much for your help, E.L. el8080@earthlink.net

Thanks for information R ruschm@uol.com.br
Having our 5th year anniversary coming up for our lingerie store. Hard to believe we have made it this far having fun and selling slutty, kinky, sexy lingerie (yeah!!!). Anyways, I was wondering if your readers might be able to offer me any inexpensive (i.e. cheap) celebration ideas, events, gifts, etc. that we might be able to use. Keep up the great work with the newsletter, love all it -- including all jokes, comments and thoughts. You guys are great. Thanks. Vikki - Just For Fun Lingerie & More.

I would like to say that as the owner of a new lingerie and dancewear
business that I have found your newsletter to be one of the most helpful tools I use in discovering new
products. I searched for a very long time
looking for wholesalers and suppliers and with your newsletter I was able to
find new products from some of the most famous lingerie makers in the
world. Again I own only a small business with hopes of expanding in the
future, but for now I'll keep reading your newsletter and telling everyone I
know about it. This is a great industry and oh!! how much fun it is. Thank you
for your time creating this newsletter and please keep them coming, they are
a real asset to the industry.

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. School officials remove "God Bless America" signs from schools in fear that someone might be offended.
Channel 12 News in Long Island, New York. Orders flags removed from the
newsroom and red, white, and blue ribbons removed from the lapels of
reporters. Why? Management did not want to appear biased and felt that our nations flag might give the appearance that "they lean one way or
another".
Berkeley, California bans U.S. Flags from being displayed on city fire
trucks because they didn't want to offend anyone in the community.
In an "act of tolerance" the head of the public library at Florida Gulf
Coast University ordered all "Proud to be an American" signs removed so as to not offend international students.
Since the terrorist
attacks on September 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled in New York and Washington D.C. when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
We are proud of our heritage and those who have so honorably defended our freedoms. We celebrate Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Flag Day. We have parades, picnics, and barbecues where we proudly wave our flag. As an American, I have the right to wave my flag, sing my national anthem, quote my national motto, and cite my pledge whenever and wherever I choose.
Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion about our government, culture, or society, and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom,
the right to leave.
