Google made 52+ changes in April
SEO is always a hot topic, and it should be, as it helps drive traffic to your site and ultimately drive revenue. Google regularly makes updates to how they rank sites and display results. For the better or for worse all depends on which side of the “improvement” you fall on. In April,
Google made 52+ changes for
searches. Some of them may have no affect on your site PageRank, e.g. Spanish football (La Liga) search feature, while others may have a real impact, e.g. more domain diversity and improvements to local navigational searches. We suggest you review the list of updates, determine which ones may impact you and decide what actions you need to take, if any. As always, if you have been following good site building practices, you have little to worry about.

The International
Lingerie Show The International lingerie show was held March 26-28, 2012
concurrently with the Las Vegas Halloween Show at the Rio Hotel.
This was the best show yet with even higher traffic then ever before. Buyers browsed the aisles and kept the exhibitors busy in their booths.
The video below is just a small glimpse into what the show offered; from the models, exhibitors and fashion show, to the video photo shoot NandoVision held in the Miranda Room.

We love photoshoots! There’s an element of creative Alchemy involved in pulling together the talents of a lingerie designer, stylists, make up artists, hair stylists and graphic designers to transmute hard work, vision, and lace into the final product.
Last December, we had the privilege of witnessing this particular magic at NaïS Lingerie’s photoshoot for their current SS12 Collection. Designer Anaïs Bouchard and cofounder Lin Corte invited us to witness and document the process.

Private Arts is the result of three artistic minds, two FIDM graduates and a gallery artist with a common goal.
Fusing art and fashion with underwear. The art is focused on different moods and personality types found in the
modern woman. While proclaiming they are "anti muffin top", the trio taps into a niche unfounded
un til now. The idea of putting art on undies translates into a kind of freedom of expression. Undies are something that,
traditionally, should be kept hidden underneath something. Art is something that is, traditionally, meant to be
exposed for the world to see. A strange juxtaposition occurs when fusing art and underwear.
Private Arts Intimates is a combination of hand drawings, photographs and graphic designs. Each piece is

Betsey Johnson Starts
Liquidation Sales Betsey Johnson will has started its start its going-out-of-business sales across the US, Canada
and the UK, a month after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Going-out-of-business sales will take place at all 54 US Betsey Johnson stores and at all nine
Betsey Johnson outlets. Apparel, shoes, jewelry and handbags will be available to buy, as well
as all store fixtures such as apparel racks, shelving and lighting.
"While the sales are ongoing, Betsey Johnson customers are still our main priority. We hope that
they use this opportunity to find great discounts on all of the latest Betsey Johnson fashions,"
said Jonathan Friedman, chief operating and financial officer of Betsey Johnson.
Gordon Brothers Group and Hilco Merchant Resources are jointly running the going-out-of-business
sales on Betsey Johnson's behalf.
Last month, in a filing at the US Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of New York for Chapter 11
bankruptcy protection, the company said attempts to find new equity investors or sell the brand
failed. The firm operates 63 stores, employing 350 people.
Charming Shoppes Sold
for $890M Women's wear retailer Ascena Retail Group said it will acquire plus-size apparel specialist
Charming Shoppes for US$890m.
Ascena has agreed to make a cash tender offer for all outstanding shares of Charming Shoppes
common stock at a price of $7.35 per share.
The deal means it will add Charming Shoppes' Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug and Catherines Plus Sizes
brands to its portfolio.
The board of directors of both companies have approved the terms of the transaction, which is
expected to close during the second quarter of this year.
"Charming Shoppes is a superb strategic fit for Ascena," said president and CEO David Jaffe. "A
key component of our growth strategy over the past several years has been to make highly selective
and powerful acquisitions."
Anthony Romano, president and CEO of Charming Shoppes added: "While we are proud of our progress
and accomplishments and believe our brands are now poised for growth, this business combination is
extremely powerful, offers a compelling premium in recognition of our significant progress and is
in the best interests of our shareholders."
BofA Merrill Lynch is acting as financial advisor and Proskauer Rose LLP as legal advisors for
Ascena Retail Group. Barclays is acting as financial advisor and Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and
