Victoria's Secret Sued Again
Juicy Couture filed suit against Victoria's Secret in a New York federal court, claiming the lingerie giant stole its idea to print words on women's behinds.
Juicy Couture has accused Victoria's Secret of capitalizing on its trendy idea to print logos on the backsides of pants.
Juicy's suit, filed Tuesday, claims Victoria's Secret also copied their idea to sell merchandise in packages that look like lollipops, ice cream cones and bon bons.
The report said, the suit also accuses the apparel giant of using misleading trade methods in an attempt to profit from Juicy's success.
It was reported that Juicy is seeking three times the amount of money Victoria's Secret made on allegedly stolen ideas. The company also wants all clothes based on stolen ideas to be destroyed.

Lingerie Americas New York
Lingerie Americas New York, which was held February 24 thru February 26 at the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion (135 West 18th Street), attracted quality buyers with show dates scheduled after the Valentine’s Day selling period and a large selection of the finest Intimate Apparel and Swimwear brands. The leading Intimate Apparel trade show in North America lured 2,415 visitors, an increase of 2.5% compared to last February.
“Our exhibitors reported being very pleased with the results of our February session in New York, writing a lot of orders and meeting good customers” said Patrice Argain, CEO, Lingerie Americas. “Clearly, traffic at the show indicates that the buyers were happy we held the event when they wanted it, after Valentine’s Day. We will continue to follow the needs of the industry when planning the show and we look forward to building on the success of both the New York show as well as Lingerie Americas at WWDMAGIC.”
Among the leading retailers attending Lingerie Americas were Bare Necessities, Bloomingdale’s, Fred Segal, Fig Leaves, Henri Bendel, Intimacy, La Petite Coquette, Lord & Taylor, Luxe Lingerie, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue (New York and Dubai), Selfridges, Takashimaya, Victoria’s Secret, Zitomer and many more.
The February edition showcased over 240 brands, including internationally recognized industry heavyweights Calida, Carole Hochman, Chantelle, Fantasie, Hanro, Natori, OnGossamer, Panache, Wacoal among others, as well as designer brands such as Andres Sarda, Betsey Johnson Intimates, Christian Lacroix, Donna Karan Intimates, Ed Hardy Intimates, Féraud, Kenzo, Nina Ricci, Sonia Rykiel, Oscar de la Renta Lingerie and many more.
Exhibitor satisfaction was high, according to a post-show survey. Anna Shnir, Sales Executive, Panache Lingerie, said, “Great quality and quantity of buyers.”
Heather Thomson, Creator of Yummie Tummie, commented, “Really great buyers attend Lingerie Americas and the intimate setting allows for a personable experience.”
Marinia Lelchuk, VP of Sales & Merchandising, Buckler, stated, “Everyone loves that Lingerie Americas was after Valentine’s Day.”
“The Lingerie Americas team is very professional and the show is a result of this,” declared Tiffany Ajmo, Marketing Director, Blush.
Lingerie Americas’ post-Valentine’s Day dates this season accommodated the desires of 92% of specialty stores, and 85 % of the all buyers, who responded to a survey on the topic conducted last year. Show visitors requested that the dates be moved to allow them to stay in their stores during the holiday.
The attendance this season of many department stores also indicates that the schedule was convenient for those buyers as well.
In addition to the high quality brands at Lingerie Americas New York, visitors had the opportunity to attend seminars and presentations designed to help retailers maximize success.
“Eveden Inc. Fit School Seminar” - Presented by Frederika Zappe, Eveden National Fit Specialist drew over 80 retailers at each of the two presentations held during the show. Attendees learned how to fit the Full-Busted and the Full-Figured woman.
A nearly standing room-only crowd also attended “Let Your Sales Floor Do the Selling” - Presented by Sarah Daniels, publisher of Intimate Apparel Business magazine, and Mercedes Gonzales, Director of Global Purchasing Companies. Attendees received a crash course in Visual Merchandising 101 and learned the tips and tricks to getting the most of their store’s walls and windows.
The Best of Intima Lounge presented an ongoing video about the now famous Best Shop Awards contest.

                The Panty Pak
                    by Luis Paredes
For women frustrated with stuffing panties into the nooks of suitcases and gym bags or embarrassed at the site of a plastic bag full of crumpled and dirty unmentionables after a long trip, designer Jane Webb offers a solution - The Panty Pak!
The Panty Pak is a handy travel bag designed to keep panties organized when you're on the road and compliments Webb's earlier invention, the Bra Bag. Each lightweight and compact Panty Pak is designed with a colorful and whimsically stylized "panty" on the front and back that also serve as extra storage. On the inside, there are two zippered pockets to keep "clean" and "not so clean" panties in their respective spots.
The Panty Pak started shipping this month and is available in four styles - Tiffany Blue, Chocolate Delight, Pink Polka Dot, Classic Black and measures 14.5 inches across, not including the handles.

Lolita-Girl Clothing Releases
 New Lines at Lingerie Show
Lolita-Girl Clothing Company, the leader in retro lingerie and vintage inspired dresses, released six new collections at the International Lingerie Show held April 7, 8 and 9 in Las Vegas. These exciting new collections are: Carnival, Cheesecake, Cabaret, Wild Siren, Peep Show, Poolside and Shimmy Shimmy Shake.
After several successful years of selling pin-up inspired lingerie and dresses, Lolita-Girl launched “Poolside,” a playful pin-up line of women’s swimwear. The glamour girls of decades past are revived with this sweet, playful pin-up collection that was an overwhelming success at the Show. Glamorous foil and polka dots in stretch fabrics modernize the look.
“Since we are located in Southern California, the surf-wear capital of the world, it is a natural progression for us to move into swimwear,“ says company head designer and founder Maureen Fokos.
“We’re bringing back a unique look and vibe to a customer and culture that has otherwise been overlooked. Packed full of sass, the Poolside line of suits is sure to make a huge splash in the industry,” she continues.
Also included in this year’s new spring collections are new pin-up inspired dresses, skirt sets and short sets.
“The line is absolutely amazing and we’ve added five new colors and fabric prints,” says Steve Williams, vice president of sales and marketing for the company. He adds, “This season’s collection was photographed on cheesecake model Bernie Dexter, and was a big hit with both new and existing customers.”
Lolita-Girl is getting ready to release eight new styles for their “Bombshell” Collection of sexy wiggle dresses and pencil skirts. The new styles are currently in production and will be available early this summer.
“The unique color combinations, extended sizing, superb fit and personalized customer service is what sets Lolita-Girl Clothing apart from the competition,” explains Fokos. “We focus on getting the best fit for each unique garment while paying special attention to the smallest detail. The company is growing by leaps and bound—and we have no intention of slowing down!”
Currently, Lolita-Girl is working with one of the burlesque dance troops on “America’s Got Talent.” In addition, a national model search is being launched in hopes of finding the next “Lolita-Girl.”
There are also a few other treats currently in the works for next year including: the new David Perry book, which is filled with hot rods, beautiful models and tons of Lolita-Girl outfits; a photo-set with a gorgeous new Italian pin-up model; and some photo shoots set up with some of the industry’s top fashion magazines.
Fokos promises, “Lolita-Girl has lots of fabulous plans for the coming year that you definitely won’t want to miss.”

I have so many items in stock, that it is hard to say exactly what sells "Best." However, looking back over the last six months, my Jolie Costumes sell the best.
I had several costumes from Jolie..and have restocked them several times. The Nurse and French Maid outfits are the hottest of the line. The Bunny and the Kitty Kat are also hot. Unfortunately, I have not been able to restock again lately, so once they sell out, they are gone! These costumes are well made, and are sexy, without being trashy. I believe that, along with the fact that they are reasonably priced, are why they are a consistent seller. I was extremely happy to have had them. I wish I could get some more! LOL

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good company that has a lot of plus sized stuff that has a dropship program and actually has inventory in stock? This is so ridiculous, every company I have been using, every time I get an order-they don't have it!
Thanks, Nichole
