New 'Green' T-Shirt
Anvil Knitwear has launched a new "green" t-shirt - with a zero carbon footprint and made using 69% pre-consumer recycled cotton. 
The AnvilRecycled shirt also uses less energy and water during its production, the company said. 
"Our recycled tee is an innovative, affordable product that has less impact on the environment, reuses left-over materials that most apparel makers see as waste, and avoids the dyeing process, saving significant amounts of energy and resources," said Anvil Knitwear CEO Anthony Corsano. 
"Even in these challenging economic times, the demand for environmentally-friendly products has never been stronger." 
As part of Earth Day, Anvil joined forces with the Sierra Club and Carbonfund.org to donate more than 6,000 AnvilRecycled and about 1,500 AnvilOrganic t-shirts to schools, universities and environmental organizations - designed to raise environmental awareness.

What we learned at the ILS

The April International Lingerie Show was great! It was wonderful to see many of our friends and customers, and make some new ones as well. Back home, we are already looking forward to the September ILS! 
The shows give us an opportunity for feedback from current and potential customers. One thing that we heard over and over again by people looking to get an online store was being taken for thousands of dollars by unscrupulous companies. Stories were told how they paid $3,000+ to have a web store developed and received nothing. It is extremely important to make sure the company you hand your hard earned money over to is known in the industry, has a good reputation, and always use a credit card to pay, so you have some method of recourse. 
Other things we heard from people were they would like QuickBooks integration in their online store, an integrated Point of Sale (POS) system, and a complete turn-key online store. We took these comments to heart, right after the show we got started on meeting these needs. Since some of these features take a lot of time to develop we took the approach to look at third party solutions which fit with our model of providing a high quality product along with a great customer experience, all at a fair price. 
We have joined with a third party POS solution which is very thorough with lots of features from a company which has a great reputation. We expect to announce something in the next couple of months as soon as we get everything worked out. It will be a great opportunity for everyone who has a brick and mortar store and would like an online store as well.
To meet the QuickBooks integration need we have found a third party solution which we have begun testing and expect to be announcing within the next month. Our goal is to eventually have this feature integrated within our Gozooko line of products.
Gozooko Complete, our turn-key online store is expected to be part of our product line-up within the next couple of months.

Deal With Sinclair Institute
