Victoria's Secret has created a "good luck charm" for the
73rd Annual Academy Awards -- a custom-designed Diamond V Bra for this year's Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress nominees.
Victoria's Secret designed the bra with nine white faceted diamonds pave set in the shape of a "V" for Oscar victory. Valued at $1,500, the bra is made of sheer mesh, and fabricated to work under plunging necklines.
Once the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress nominees were announced, Victoria's Secret sent out congratulatory cards announcing their good luck gift, and has spent all month collecting the nominees' sizes. The company is now in the process of sending out the custom-designed bras.
Fashionistas suffering from Oscar-night envy can pick up the rhinestone version of the V Bra, which sells for $55 at Victoria's Secret stores.

              You got mail
A man was in his front yard mowing grass when his attractive blonde female neighbor came out of the house and went straight to the mail box.
She opened it, then slammed it shut, and stormed back in the house. A little later she came out of her house and again went to the mail box and again opened it, then slammed it shut again.   Angrily, back into the house she went.
As the man was getting ready to edge the lawn, here she came out again, marched to the mail box, opened it and then
slammed it closed harder than ever. Puzzled by her actions the
man asked her, "Is something wrong?"
To which she replied, "There certainly is! My stupid
computer keeps giving me a message saying,
             "YOU'VE GOT MAIL!"

Hello, I love your newsletter! It is very informative and is a godsend to the industry, keep up the great work.
The reason I am writing you is that I am curious about a question that was posted in your Feb 1 2000 issue with the heading "from our Northern Neighbors" (I know it's a long time ago, ;-( sorry )
http://www.mcpetesez.com/february12000.htm
I am just curious to know what kind of responses you received to this.   I myself own a web based retail business and have run into this problem before in Canada as the Manufacturers Sales coverage is horrible.  Just curious. I am glad to hear that we are not the only ones that face this same problem. I wish that Canada would be viewed as a whole new market with great potential but it falls under the usual stereotypes of what is in Canada, RCMP and eskimos.

Keep the newsletter coming! It's always a pleasure :)

Last year I remember hearing about National Lingerie Week the 3rd week of April (I believe).
Do you know the dates for 2001 for National Lingerie Week?
