Perry Ellis Triples Q4 Profit On Jantzen Sales
Apparel maker Perry Ellis International Inc on Monday revealed it
nearly tripled its fourth quarter net profit on the back of a big jump in
sales driven by a strong performance of its Jantzen swimwear brand.
The Florida-based company posted a net profit of $2.8 million versus $954,000 in the year-ago period with sales up more than 51 per cent year-on-year to $79m from $52.2m

H&M To Open First Italian Store In Sept
Swedish fashion giant Hennes & Mauritz AB on Tuesday announced
it has signed a contract for its first store in Italy.
The Stockholm-based operator of nearly 850 outlets in 14 countries
said in a statement the new shop is located in a "very attractive" premises
in central Milan and will open in September.
It added it plans to open several more stores in Italy without providing a timetable.
Earlier this year, H&M said it would open more than 100
stores in Europe and the US this year.
