Bush's Niece Grabs Milan Catwalk
Spotlight
MILAN, Italy (Reuters) - The bright lights of
Milan fashion week trained on a new catwalk debutante on Wednesday: Lauren Bush, the U.S.
president's 16-year-old niece.
Smiling nervously, Lauren paraded on a spangly gold runway showing some of the less risque
outfits in the Autumn/Winter 2001/02 collection of Gai Mattiolo, a Rome-based designer known for his
entrance-making, super-sexy evenings.

Body-baring as a year-round activity is nothing new for Italian
designers. Plunging necklines, backs dipped to the buttocks and
bare arms and legs are their trademark. But recently they have
taken to seasonal mixing of fabrics and color schemes. Last
season it was black and flannel for summer.
This round they are offering flimsy fabrics and crayon colors for the dark of winter. In yet another hot-cold twist, the designers pair lightweight chiffon with leather and wool.

A bias suit vs. Wal-Mart is upheld
WOODBURY - A Superior Court judge denied a motion by Wal-Mart yesterday to dismiss a discrimination suit brought
by an employee who said she was fired for not wearing a bra.
The suit, brought by Nancy R. Wilson of Swedesboro, states that the retail giant dismissed her as assistant manager at a Sam's Club in Monmouth County because she would not wear a bra to work. Wilson was 49 when she was fired March 4,
1994.
She is seeking an undisclosed amount in back pay and benefits as well damages for working in what she called a hostile
environment.
According to court documents, Wilson was asked by the store not wear a bra and not have a job."
Wilson was fired three days after telling the store manager she would not wear a bra, court documents state.

A young couple got married & went on a cruise for their honeymoon. When they got back from the honeymoon, the bride immediately called her mother, who lived
a couple of hours away.
"Well, darling," said her mother, "how was the honeymoon?"
"Oh, mother," she replied, "the honeymoon was wonderful! So romantic, we had a terrific time! But, mother, as soon as we returned, Sam began using really horrible
language...stuff I'd never heard before...really terrible 4-letter words... You've got to come and get me and take me home...PLEASE MOTHER!"
And the new bride began to sob over the telephone.
"But, Darling," the mother countered, "WHAT 4-letter words?"
"I can't tell you, mother," said the daughter, "they're too awful! COME AND GET ME, PLEASE!"
"Darling daughter, you must tell me what has you so upset...tell mother the 4-letter words!"
Still sobbing, the bride said, "Mother...words like DUST...WASH....IRON...COOK..."
