Kreenholmi Valduse
Cuts 300 Workers
Up to 300 workers are to lose their jobs at the Kreenholmi Valduse textile plant in Narva, Estonia, after the company posted poor
results.
CFO Aivar Melders said sales had been below expectations, necessitating the job cuts at the factory, which is Narva’s biggest
employer. They come after 376 jobs were cut at the plant last year.
Reports suggest that Kreenholm, a division of Swedish company Boras
Wafveri, posted sales of less than EEK1bn (US$80.4m) last year, after being hit by competition from Asia.

La Senza's Growth Plans
La Senza Corp. plans to continue its aggressive multi-year expansion of lingerie stores in Canada and internationally.
In Canada, La Senza is opening more stores in power centers, increasing the size of many of its stores in regional malls and converting its Silk and Satin stores to the La Senza Express brand, Irving Teitelbaum, La Senza chairman and chief executive said in a conference call.
"And we continue to expand rather actively globally through La Senza International," Teitelbaum said. "It's a very exciting growth story going forward."
La Senza has 306 corporate-owned stores across Canada, up from 290 a year ago, and 272 independently owned La Senza and La Senza Girl stores operating under
license in 27 other countries.

Richards Joins Pussycat
Dolls
Former Bond girl Denise Richards is set to raise temperatures at the
 one-year anniversary of the Pussycat Dolls Lounge in Las Vegas, Nevada - by performing with the burlesque revue.
The actress will wear her best lingerie for the risqué show at the Pure nightclub, housed in the Caesar's Palace hotel and casino complex.
The mom-of-two won't be the first daring celebrity to join the girls onstage - Eva Longoria, Christina Applegate, Scarlett Johansson, Gwen Stefani and Pamela Anderson have all strutted their stuff with The Pussycat Dolls.

Bikini Village Sales Up
11.2%
Swimwear specialist Groupe Bikini Village announced first-quarter
like-for-like sales rise 11.2% in results that met the company’s
expectations.
Net sales for the quarter ending April 29 were C$8.5m (US$7.7m), up 10.3% on 2005, leading to a net loss of
C$17,000, compared to a loss of C$2.8m for the same period last year.
Operating margins improved to 1.8% compared to a negative margin of 1.4% last year.
Bikini Village, which operates 57 swimwear outlets in Quebec and
Ontario under the Bikini Village and Ocean Bikini Village brands.

More Stupid Criminals
A woman was reporting her car as stolen, and mentioned that there was a car phone in it. The policeman taking the report called the phone and told the guy that answered that he had read the ad in the newspaper and wanted to buy the car. They arranged to meet, and the thief was arrested.
San Francisco: A man, wanting to rob a downtown Bank of America, walked into the branch and wrote "this iz a stikkup. Put all your muny in this bag." While standing in line, waiting to give his note to the teller, he began to worry that someone had seen him write the note and might call the police before he reached the teller window. So he left the Bank of America and crossed the street to Wells Fargo. After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to the Wells Fargo teller. She read it and, surmising from his spelling errors that he was not the brightest light in the harbor, told him that she could not accept his stickup note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip and that he would either have to fill out a Wells Fargo deposit slip or go back to Bank of America. Looking somewhat defeated, the man said "OK" and left. The Wells Fargo teller then called the police who arrested the man a few minutes later, as he was waiting in line back at Bank of America.

Bra Exhibit
You can't help but notice a giant pink bra if you drive down 5th street in Paducah, Kentucky.
"We were looking for something fun and different, and this is what we came up with," says Myra Hook, "A bra exhibit!"
There's the Mickey & Minnie Mouse bra, the wine & grapes bra, the biker bra, and much more. There's pretty much full coverage of anything you can imagine. The Paducah/McCracken County Convention and Visitors Bureau sponsored a bra entitled, "Paducah or Bust". Plus there's the monkey cupped "Jungle Jugs", and don't forget "Alice in Wonder-bra".
"This was just a fun idea and as you can see by all the different bras, just how creative and talented the artists are and it just inspires different things with different people," explains Hook," We as for a two dollar donation to take a look around."
Hook is the volunteer coordinator for the RSVP, or the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program, part of the Paducah McCracken County Senior Citizens Center. She explains it's the groups major fundraiser and is well worth the two dollar admission.
Hook says the exhibit draws some smiles and a lot of laughter.

Madonna Confirmed As
New H & M Model
US pop queen Madonna has been confirmed as the latest of a string of celebrities to model for Swedish low-cost fashion retailer Hennes and Mauritz.
"We are extremely proud that Madonna wants to be in partnership with H and M," company spokeswoman Kristina Stenvinkel said.
 "This campaign encapsulates H and M's and Madonna's expression of diversity and personal style," Stenvinkel added.
Madonna is to pose for a poster campaign due to hit bill boards worldwide from August.
The company is to also clothe Madonna and 150 members of her crew in T-shirts, tops, hoods and jeans
emblazoned with "Madonna plus crew loves H and M". These designs will be made available in H and M stores.
Madonna's crew is also to be given free range to stock up on H and M products.
"Madonna and her crew will be able to select items from the H and M range at stores in London and New York," Stenvinkel said.
Previous H and M models have included superstars Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Anna Nicole Smith.
Last year, British supermodel Kate Moss was dropped from the group's ad campaign after allegations that she had taken cocaine.

Pantless Woman Cited
A 28-year-old woman has been cited for lewdness for exposing herself inside a store. The woman was riding a motorized cart inside Lin's Market Place on Thursday with her pants around her ankles and not wearing underwear.
Customers didn't notice the woman until she would stand up from the cart and bend over to look at items on the shelf, exposing her behind.
The woman told police she arrived in Cedar City with a circus but was left behind.
