Toilet Seat
A man decides to take the opportunity while his wife is away to paint the toilet seat.
The wife comes home sooner than expected, sits, and gets the seat stuck to her rear. She is understandably distraught about this and asks her husband to drive her to the doctor. She puts on a large overcoat so as to cover the stuck seat, and they go.
When they get to the doctor's, the man lifts his wife's coat to show their predicament. The man asks, "Doctor, have you ever seen anything like this before?"
"Well, yes," the doctor replies, "but not framed like that."

The Right to Wear
Underwear
Nearly 200 staff at a Hindu temple in southern India
have won the right to wear underwear to work.
The human rights commission in Kerala state has ordered Sabarimala temple to withdraw a dress code that barred
staff from wearing underwear.
The dress code was imposed 10 years ago after several cases of theft.
Sabarimala is the second busiest temple in southern India after Tirupati, visited by nearly 50 million
people during the special pilgrimage season.
It also receives a huge amount of donations in the form of cash and gold, silver and diamond
jewelry, as much as $18.7M last year.
The state human rights decision followed after an anonymous complaint about the issue.
The staff working in the strong room of the temple, where the cash and
jewelry are kept, are not allowed to wear anything except a sarong-like lower garment
called "mundu".
The commission has now asked the government to take necessary steps to ensure that the staff are allowed to
wear their underwear and modern facilities are put in place to prevent thefts such as x-ray machines.
The staff say manual handling of such an enormous amount of cash and
jewelry is not possible.
There are about 60 staff on duty in the strong room at a time.

Hanes New Ads
Sports icon Michael Jordan and actor Charlie Sheen
teamed up in a new series of television ads for Hanes undershirts and boxer briefs.
The intimate apparel supplier has signed the pair up for the latest TV spots in its "Look Who" campaign -
humorous ads in which Sheen plays an over-enthusiastic fan of Jordan.
The campaign, also including online and video game advertising, showcases Hanes Lay Flat Collar
Undershirts and No Ride Up Boxer briefs. The products are the first to carry Hanes' Comfort Fit Promise money
back guarantee.
"We are dedicated to making our products the best-fitting and most comfortable - two attributes that
are especially important to men," said Sidney Falken, senior vice president, Hanes brand.
"They want to look and feel good without having to worry about it."
The advertising, created by The Martin Agency, will begin on June 2.

Pacific Sunwear Reports
Disappointing Q1
Casual apparel retailer Pacific Sunwear of California
has widened its first quarter net loss amid what the company's boss described as a "disappointing" period.
Quarterly net loss from continuing operations rose to $12.0m for the first quarter of fiscal 2008, compared
to a net loss of $0.3m in the same period last year.
The company's first quarter sales from continuing operations slipped to $266.9m from $268.1m in the prior
year. Total company same-store sales fell 1% during the period.
The results excluded the impact of the company's discontinued Demo and One Thousand Steps operations.
However, first quarter results did include an after-tax asset impairment charge of $4.9m associated with the
company's materials handling equipment in its closed Anaheim distribution
center.
"Although our first quarter was disappointing, we successfully accomplished four meaningful initiatives
that position us well going forward," said Sally Frame Kasaks, chief executive officer.
The company revised its outlook for the second quarter and full year of fiscal 2008.
