       Moss' Top Shop Line
        Breaks Records
Kate Moss' Top Shop collection has notched up record-breaking business of 3.5 million pounds in its first week of sales in the U.K.
The 33-year-old model's fashion range was first launched in New York mid May and was in Stockholm a week later.
The clothes are making big business, and there seems to be no stopping to the frenzy, as new designs keep on adding to the collection.
According to Top Shop the clothes are a hit among customers and are doing exceedingly better than expected.
"The Kate Moss range has exceeded all expectations. Women can't get enough of her items," Mirror quoted the company as saying.
The pansy print dress worth 45 pounds and the signature jeans designed by the supermodel is a big sell-out.
The big sale means that Top Shop boss Sir Philip Green should have already earned 3 million pounds, which the company is supposed to pay as fees to Moss.
Business magnate Green insisted that the Top Shop collection was expected to become a craze and everything is going on as earlier thought.
"It's all gone according to plan so far," Green said.

Underwear to Protect
Cell Phone Radiation
If you thought donning tin foil caps was excessive, Isabodywear is out to make those contraptions looks mighty mild. While the debate about just how dangerous (or not) cell phone radiation is still rages on, there's certainly a paranoid sect that will snap up anything that claims to "protect them," and this Swiss garb maker is latching onto that opportunity.
The briefs are purportedly constructed with threads made of silver, which the company claims will fend off harmful cell phone radiation; moreover, in an effort to really prove just how effective these undergarments are, it suggests that phone calls originated within the confines of your new underwear simply won't connect. Reportedly, 4,000 pairs have been created so far, and for folks willing to give these a try and fill out a survey, the company gave away the first 500 pairs.
There's no word on when you can expect the Slipways to hit the market, but they should sell for $24 apiece when retailers start stocking.

Red Bras Hung in Protest
National Party MP Fiona Simpson joined her parliamentary colleague, Rosemary Menkens, in hanging 25 red bras outside the state Parliament building in Brisbane to protest against council amalgamations on behalf of women in rural communities across the state.
Ms Simpson says it was a serious message and she does not regret it, despite being warned by Speaker Mike Reynolds that her conduct could be in contempt of Parliament.
"The symbol of the red bra women was chosen by women as red for the color of the protest that's been used right throughout Queensland - ripping out the heart of communities, the blood of those communities," she said.
"The bra was chosen by the women as a feminine symbol of the careers and nurturers in the community.
"It may be a provocative symbol, but it was to sell a serious
message."

Limited to Sell Express
  & Limited Stores
Limited Brands Inc., the owner of the Victoria's Secret lingerie chain, agreed to sell a majority of its Express unit and put its Limited Stores up for sale after first-quarter profit fell to half the company's forecasts.
Golden Gate Capital will buy 67% of Express for $548 million, Limited said in a statement. The unit had $1.75 billion in sales last year. The Columbus, Ohio-based company is exploring ``strategic options'' for Limited Store.
The company is also selling the Limited Stores. The first store was opened in 1963 by Chairman Leslie Wexner.
The Limited and Express chains ``will never be the growth driver of Limited Brands,'' said Malcolm Polley, who oversees $1 billion, including 260,000 Limited shares, at Stewart Capital Advisors in Pittsburgh.
Shares of Limited Brands, which also owns the Bath & Body Works chain, fell 4.5%.
Limited Brands bought Victoria's Secret, which accounted for 81% of 2006 profit, in 1982 for $1 million. The first Bath & Body Works, which sells lotion and fragrances, opened in 1990.
Sales at Express declined 3% last year, and Limited Stores dropped 10%. Combined they earned $27 million.
Victoria's Secret recorded a sales increase of 15% in 2006.
The $548 million purchase price includes a $117 million debt-financing dividend from Express to be paid before the deal closes no later than July 6.
Sales and profit margins at each of the company's divisions, including Victoria's Secret, fell below the company's forecasts, Limited Brands said today. New bras ``lacked enough energy and newness,'' Redgrave said. Trends will continue to be ``challenging'' in the second quarter, the company said.
Limited Brands also said second-quarter profit may decline to a range of 20 cents to 24 cents a share from 28 cents a year earlier, excluding the impact of the Express sale. The average estimate of 19 analysts was 30 cents a share.
Limited Brands reduced its full-year profit forecast to as much as $1.65 a share, down from an earlier high of $1.90 a share. The company operates 3,768 stores, including Henri Bendel and White Barn Candle Co.
Limited Brands has divested other apparel chains. The company completed a spin-off of teen retailer Abercrombie & Fitch Co. in 1998 and sold its Lane Bryant plus-size chain to Charming Shoppes Inc. in 2001.
The company purchased Canadian lingerie retailer La Senza Corp. for $628 million in cash in January. Limited Brands plans to expand the average size of Victoria's Secret stores by 50% over the next five years.

Undie Filled Punching Bags
A Cincinnati-area family is the first one among many trying to solve the mystery of how a hamper-size bundle of dirty underwear happened to find its way into their brand-new TKO punching bag.
"[There were] thongs, women's underwear, men's underwear — some used, bathing suits and bras," said Joe Heckel, who bought the bag for Christmas.
"We could not believe there were clothes inside instead of sand."
And the smell left no doubt that the undies were used and abused before they made their way into the TKO brand punching bag.
"It stunk to high heaven so I zipped it up real quick," Heckel said.
Technical Knockout Inc., which makes the bags, dodged Heckel's claims until local news organizations came calling. The company admitted that there may be others out there with punching bags filled with stinky underwear.
A representative promised an undie-free replacement and that the underwear in the bag was a "quality problem" and that those responsible for deciding to fill TKO bags with dirty laundry had been fired.

Redneck Vasectomy
A couple, both bona fide rednecks, had 9 children. They
went to the doctor to see about getting the husband "fixed." The doctor gladly started the required procedure and asked them what finally made them make the decision--why after nine children, would they choose to do this now. The husband replied that they had heard recently on TV that one out of every ten children being born in the United States was Mexican, and they didn't want to take a chance on having a Mexican baby because neither of them could speak Spanish.

Ann Summers Upsets Apple
Apple execs have got their undies in a twist over a new sex toy called the iGasm, which sends a vibrating beat from any music player into your underwear.
The British adult store Ann Summers has the makers of the iPod in an uproar, claiming posters advertising the kinky device are a rip-off of their own ad campaign.
The store's neon pink posters show the silhouette of a woman on her knees and leaning backward, holding the oval white device above her head.
Two white cables come out of the toy - one connected to a pair of headphones and the other leading suggestively down toward her panties.
Apple is demanding all posters for the $60 gadget be taken down, under threat of court action.
Ann Summers' boss Jacqueline Gold seems reluctant to bow to the pressure. "Perhaps I can send them an iGasm to put a smile back on their faces!" she said.
