And on a purely intrusive gossip level we can report that Heidi
Klum has exchanged Anthony Kiedis for Naomi Campbell's ex Flavio
Briatore, while Laetitia Casta has separated from her daughter
Sahteene's father Sahteene, and is currently romping around the
Cannes Film Festival with Italian actor Stefano Accorsi. Also in
Cannes are dueling divas Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz, who are
supposedly keeping two small armies of body guards busy making
sure that they don't bump in to each other. However, we are
looking forward to the Cruz-Kidman red carpets fashion walk-offs.
First out was Penelope in a magnificent goth-inspired Dior couture
getup for the premiere of Fan-Fan Le Tulipe. Stay tuned for
Nicole's response.   by Fashion Net News

In Brazil during 2001, the balance of trade turned positive with the
industry exporting more than it imported. The textile and clothing
industry in Brazil owns and operates some of the most sophisticated
factories in the world covering every aspect of the supply chain with
sectors of the industry located throughout each of the twenty seven
states. Brazil has the seventh largest textile and apparel industry in
the world, turning over US$22 billion per annum.
The industry invested US$ 7 billion over the last eight years and has
a further US$ 12 billion scheduled over the next seven

                                A1 Lassy
A farmer went to town to buy some goods. He stopped at the hardware store and bought a pail and a hammer.
He then went to the market and bought a live goose and 2 chickens.
He didn't know how to carry everything but the shopkeeper suggested "put the goose in the pail the hammer in one hand and hold each chicken under you arms.
He did this and started to walk home. Soon he saw a beautiful young lass with huge breasts bulging out of a low cut dress.
She looked lost. He asked "Lassy can I help you, you look lost?"
She replied, "I am, I'm looking for my Uncle Mr. Simms.
The farmer said, "Why he's my neighbor, follow me there."
So off they went, he was getting tired so he suggested a short cut through an alley. "Why sir, how do I know that you will not force me against the wall and take me once we are alone in the alley?"
"Now how can I do that? Don't you see the goose, the hammer and chickens I carry?" he said.
She replied "...well you can put the goose on the ground, the pail over the goose, place the hammer on the pail and I'll hold the chickens!"

Fashion Logos Lose Their Lustre
Apparel brand logos and labels are less important today than a few years ago a new survey has shown, with most consumers adopting a 'back to brand basics' mentality.
The findings are part of the Brand Keys 2003 Fashion Index, a semi-annual survey conducted among 16,000 US adult consumers by New York City-based research consultancy Brand Keys Inc.
"Nearly all logos are valuable as long as consumers think they are important and are worth paying for. The problem is that logos-as-brand-differentiators have decreased in the importance they play in the actual purchase process," said Robert Passikoff, president, Brand Keys.
