Can adding Pinterest to your business’ social media use add profits?
A few tips to try to raise your bottom line.
Build relationship with clients who pin often, they are the ones with the most followers. (more chances for you to get repined). Ignore the others, your time is too precious to waste on following smaller Pinners.
Cross pollinate your social media. The other social media sites have vastly more users than Pinterest. Use your other social accounts to direct to Pinterest.
Of course pin your products, but also pin about things and stories related to your industry. Tips and tricks related to items you sell make it more human and less about the sales.
Getting clients and potential clients to follow you on Pinterest is important, but just as important is for you to follow those “super” Piners. They may follow you in return giving you that all sought after social media exposure that costs almost nothing to buy!!

Returns to NYC
The Lingerie Designer Showcase, a New York based lingerie trade show of independent designers and brands for buyers looking for innovative, new collections returns this August from the 5th - 8th at the luxurious AKA Hotel and Residences in New York City near Times Square.
The show promotes a collective environment where brands work together to help each other achieve their goals by sharing their industry knowledge and experience. At the same time, the showcase gives buyers the opportunity to meet one-on-one with designers in a relaxed setting.

Coquette Reinvents Character on HBO's 'True Blood'
The hit HBO series 'True Blood' has done it again, they have featured a Coquette piece in their most recent episode “Let's Boot and Rally” from Season 5.
Rutina Wesley who portrays Tara Thornton in the show, looked amazing on last Sunday's show wearing the Coquette bustier style #1077. Her character has made a dramatic change in fashion since being reintroduced as a young vampire. In a complete style reversal Wesley's character went from plain jane to sexy vixen having fans do a double take. From the Rocker Chic line, this purple and black bustier was paired with simple black pants, making a strong, and surprising, style statement for Tara.

CURVExpo set to be hotter than ever
this summer in New York and Las Vegas!
CURVExpo, now in its seventh year, has continued to grow internationally and in the swimwear category.
CURVENY New York will welcome 255 brands, 59% from outside the US. The show will take place on August 5, 6, and 7 in a larger home at the Javits Center. Hall 1E & 1D will allow room for all the new booths and give exhibitors more space to unwind in the expanded lounge area. The dates coincide with the New York Swimwear market week. Top retailers are going to be in the city, and will be able to maximize their time in the newly created CURVENY New York "one stop shop" featuring 72 Swimwear brands. The representation of international brands has grown as well with 151 brands that have a long history of servicing the North American market, such as Canadian brands (26), French brands (26), and UK brands (22). A larger presence of Colombian brands (11) will be noted on the floor; indeed the Free Trade Agreement that was been ratified at the beginning of 2012 now makes Colombian Brands extremely attractive in many respects: styling and fit, price positioning, and service flexibility.
Innovation is the perfect adjective used to describe the best the August 2012 New York and Las Vegas Shows: On one side, brands have worked very hard not only coming up with new designs, fabrics, and products, but also with immediate delivery programs and private label possibilities. The fashion shows will take place on Monday, August 6th at 6 pm on site at the Javits Center in New York, and in Las Vegas on Tuesday, August 21st at 7:30 pm at the Crazy Horse Theater located in the MGM Hotel. The spectacular choreography and VIP attendees will contribute to a memorable evening celebrating the exciting world of lingerie and swimwear.

As CURVExpo is completing the preparation of its August 2012 shows, it is interesting to consider the recent changes this organization has gone through, and what it means for the US market. Progress Made in TPP Talks
Continuing trade talks concerning the Trans-Pacific Partnership
(TPP) have made “important progress”, according to the US, with Canada and Mexico poised to
join the negotiations.
The 13th round of TPP talks, which concluded on Tuesday July 10, involved the US, Australia, Brunei,
Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.
Described as a “key trade initiative” of the Obama Administration, the TPP is viewed by the US as vital
to boosting exports to the Asia Pacific region.
The US said talks had made “further substantial progress” across 20 chapters covering issues including
customs, cross-border services, telecommunications, government procurement, competition policy, and
cooperation and capacity building.
In addition, the nine countries continued intensive discussions on tariff packages to provide access to
each other’s industrial goods, agriculture and textiles markets.
Meanwhile, the US Trade Representative has notified Congress of its intent to enter into TPP negotiations
with Mexico and Canada, triggering a 90-day consultation period on the new entrants.
The 14th round of TPP negotiations will take place in Leesburg, Virginia, from 6-15 September.
