Jockey's Shapewear Survey
Apparel company Jockey International has found in a survey that many women still have concerns about wearing shapewear, with nearly half saying they would find it uncomfortable.
In response, Jockey has launched a website dedicated to undergarment items that help slim, smooth, flatten and flatter, it said.
"It's important for women to realize that shapewear has come a long way in recent years," explains Sally Tomkins, senior vice president, design, research and development at Jockey International.
In its survey of 1,000 US women, the company found that nearly half (49%) of women say they do not wear shapewear more often because they think it is uncomfortable.
More than one in ten (14%) said it was because they don't want anyone to know they are wearing shapewear though, and nearly one in ten (9%) women said wearing shapewear makes them feel 'unsexy'.

"Heck," said Herman, "It's not just one car. It's hundreds of them!"
