Scantily clad artist too
much for shoppers
BOSTON - Women's fashions may be getting flimsier every day but bystanders in a Massachusetts shop saw more than they bargained for when a scantily clad performance artist tried to squeeze into clothes in a storefront window. Apparently outraged by a touch too much flesh, residents called police to stop artist Elaine Belsito, who was wearing only a sports bra and panties, from dressing in the window of a gallery in Somerville, Massachusetts.

'Bum' Wrap: The New Hot Lingerie
True to the saucy styling of its women, a Brazilian lingerie company has created a line of sexy underthings and aptly named it Belabumbum, which translates to "beautiful bottom" in Portuguese.
For a country that celebrates all things of
the flesh, Belabumbum's collection of lace and cotton briefs and bras is surprisingly modest -- one doesn't even have to invest in the painful Brazilian bikini wax to sport the thongs -- while maintaining every bit of the sexiness equated with lingerie.
Using innovative cuts and fabrics imported from Brazil, pieces like the Bossa thongboy are generously cut at the hips to avoid panty lines, while eliminating the chafing often associated with string versions. And the delicate stretch lace is so soft you almost feel like you have nothing on underneath your skirt.
Belabumbum's (pronounced "belaboomboom") Copacabana cotton collection is also seamless to avoid unsightly panty lines. Available as a camisole, bra, boy-cut short, brief, or hipster style, they are perfect to lounge around in on a porch hammock with friends, without compromising your privacy.
Each piece of lingerie comes with a character card that provides a little astrological forecast based on the color of the camisole or bra that you choose. For example, the color aqua deems you nurturing and protective, like Sirena, mother of the sea. Pink evokes Dulce, the goddess of love and beauty, and the card states, "For luck in the bedroom or when wanting to enchant, wear these on Saturday." Horoscope readings on underwear may seem like a far-fetched approach to lingerie, but then again, who wants to tempt fate?
In addition to their brand-new swimsuit line -- which includes slightly more coverage than an average Brazilian string bikini, mix-and-match styles, and bright Rio De Janeiro-worthy prints and colors -- Belabumbum is introducing a maternity line for blossoming bombshells.
Gone are the orthopedic, beige-colored nursing bras - Belabumbum's baby blue version still has the flaps that snap down easily with one hand, and white straps that are wide enough to support, but not bind. There's even a cotton thong finished with silk, complete with an adorable candy-stripe pattern running along the band, so mothers-to-be don't have to relinquish their sexiness with an expanding belly.

US Quotas Stall Clothing Shipments
A mix-up in quota arrangements under the new textile pact signed with the US earlier this year has stranded millions of dollars worth of Vietnamese clothing shipments destined for US retailers.
The deal, negotiated by the US in an attempt to curb cheaper imports from Vietnam, set quotas on 38 types of apparel and textiles from Vietnam and capped exports to America at $1.7 billion in 2003.
But it now appears that some factories contracted to fulfil US orders did not get quota allocations and that garments have been stacking up at Vietnamese ports while the government decides how to resolve the problem.
Seventy per cent of the quota allocations for 2003 were given to 396 producers who exported the most in 2002. Around 20 per cent were provided to first-time exporters. Rural and other factories were given the balance of 10 per cent.
Vietnamese manufacturers are now being allowed to trade quota to better match orders – but it is believed that nearly half the 2003 quotas were shipped out in May and June alone.

Working in the garden
A prisioner in jail received a letter from his wife:
"I have decided to plant some lettuce in the back garden. When is the best time to plant them?"
The prisioner, knowing that the prison guards read all the mail, replied in a letter:
"Dear Wife, whatever you do, DO NOT touch the back garden! That is where I hid all the gold."
A week or so later, he received another letter from his wife:
"You wouldn't believe what happened. Some men came with shovels to the house, and dug up the whole back garden."
The prisoner wrote another letter:
"Dear wife, NOW is the best time to plant the lettuce!"

Hi! I got such a good response last time ,I thought I would ask one more question.... there is a particular
manufacturer I am trying my hardest to identify.... I cannot find it anywhere! I is the company that makes very very lacy lingerie, short sets, and skirt sets - also they have a shorts outfit that comes in pink, silver, and shiny black that has a set of lips across the front of the top, and also a lipprint on the right butt cheek. They are regularly featured in flirt catalog, and I do NOT want to buy from flirt because they are too expensive! I have an internet based company, and would like to buy directly from the manufacturer. They have the code 06 in the flirt catalog. PLEASE! someone help me!
