Kate Moss to Design Lingerie
Kate Moss has extended her contract with UK high street fashion chain Topshop for another three years and can't wait to start work on the new lines - which also includes a range of shoes.
She said: "The last two years have been an exciting experience and Topshop has given me the perfect platform to develop my own collection, which is something that I have wanted to do for a long time.
"I am really looking forward to working with the Topshop team on our new collections and thank everybody who already owns a piece of Kate Moss for Topshop!"
Kate's original deal in 2005 was reportedly worth £4 million a year.
Her new spring collection is due to be launched in March.
Sir Philip Green - who owns the Arcadia group, which includes Topshop - believes Kate's new range will be a worldwide hit.
He said: "Having had two years experience, I am confident that Kate's collection now has the potential to become a significant global brand within Topshop."

   Humboldt's New Credit 
        Card Terminal

It looks like a cell phone and weighs just as much, but instead of seeing a phone bill, you'll see invoices paid right in front of you.
That, according to Steve Kimberling of Humboldt Merchant Services is the biggest advantage of their newest wireless credit card processing terminal.
"It's very easy to use. Basically, you swipe the card, key in the dollar amount of your transaction and the receipt prints out to a wireless printer that just as small as the terminal," explained Kimberling. "It's excellent for home party merchants and especially for exhibitors at trade shows."
Kimberling explained that Humboldt has been working for years with clients at in the Intimate Apparel Industry and that their new terminal is an example of how well they listen and look to help their clients. "This terminal is perfect for our clients here at the trade shows. They can take orders and get paid as they talk with the buyer."

The International Lingerie 
          Fashion Show

Even with an economic storm looming buyers still came out in force at the last edition of the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas that ran from September 15 through the 17th at the Rio Hotel.
The new September dates helped retailers, previously wary or unable to leave their store during the lucrative Halloween season, attend the show and exhibitors were pleased with the results.
New exhibitors included Donna Di Capri Lingerie, Camobooty, and 100% Babe amongst others.
Buyers noted that the diversity and number of exhibitors exceeded their expectations. 
David Nelson of Vixens said, "This seems to be a pretty good show compared to the CURVE show. A lot more products here and a lot better layout so I'm pretty happy that I came to this show."
First time attendee Jennifer Cohen opening a new store called Ti Amo Lingerie in Oregon exclaimed, "The show is completely amazing. It's actually a little overwhelming because its the first show I've been to. One of the most interesting things I've found here is a line of men's boxes called EGO and they are phenomenal. It has been an amazing show!"
At the same time, exhibitors noticed the difference in buyers at this show. Tony Lam of iBasic Intima said, "Buyers are here to buy at this show."
Michael Moreira of the International Lingerie Show noted that the next edition of the will be held on April 20 - 22nd, 2009 at the Rio Hotel. 
What's new at the next edition? How will the next show be different? Moreira said, "We're really excited because we've had such success with our Halloween costume on the sexy side we've now developed now into a more all inclusive Halloween costume show so we're not going to limit our selves to sexy costumes we'll be out there with everything that's offered by some of the largest manufacturers in the Halloween industry such as Rubies, Fun World and some of the other bigger names like Dreamgirl, Leg Avenue, Shirley of Hollywood so we're really excited."    www.spectrade.com

WMI Enterprises Introduces 
     New Email Campaign

WMI Enterprises, Inc. is trying something new to keep its current customers up-to-date on its latest offerings – an email blast.
"It's very much like a newsletter," said Sheila McMichael, president. "We let our customers know about recent events like our CILA Award and new offerings like our new Intimate Icing line."
McMichael says that it's only been about a month since she started the email newsletter, but hopes that it will result in more consistent reorders. "We're keeping our customers up-to-date and they've liked the reminders. We'll see where it takes us."
