A Beautiful Mind" and "Moulin Rouge" have come away with the most 2002 Golden Globe nominations, six each. The Aussie stars of both films, Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman, respectively, were also nominated for their roles in the films. Co-stars Ewan McGregor and Jennifer Connelly (Left) garnered nominations too.
The former Mrs. Cruise was also nominated for best actress in a drama for her role in "The Others." Billy Bob Thornton followed her lead, earning double nominations, for his dramatic role in "The Man
Who Wasn't There" as well as his comedic turn in "Bandits."
"The Lord of the Rings" earned nominations for best drama and best director. That other fantastical film we've heard a bit about lately, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," was not nominated for any awards.
Robert Altman's "Gosford Park" snagged five nominations, for best comedy, best director, best screenplay, and best supporting actress nods for both Helen Mirren and Maggie Smith.
On the television front, newcomers made a splash with "24," "Alias" and "Six Feet Under" all nabbing nominations. In the comedy category, there were no surprises, with "Friends," "Will & Grace," "Sex and the City," "Ally McBeal" and "Frasier" all weighing in.

NO PHOTO OP FOR ANTI-PANTY RALLY
About 20 Upper West Side residents who've been complaining about larger-than-life posters of lingerie-clad models on a soon-to-open Victoria's Secret store staged their scheduled demonstration yesterday - undeterred by the disappearance of the photos three days earlier.
"We're not prudes. We're not against underwear," said Richard Sharp as he marched past the posterless windows at Broadway and 85th Street brandishing a sign saying, "It's no secret. You are not welcome."   He sensed a conspiracy.
"They knew about this protest," Sharp said. "That's why they took down the pictures."   Protester Miriam Lieberman complained the models on the vanished posters had been "displayed in a very sexual way.   "I'm in this neighborhood and I see the standard of morality dropping," she said.

Mina Saito, a 20-year-old student at Nihon University, fights with male coach Toshinori Kugimoto during a sumo wrestling exercise at a sumo ring on campus in Tokyo, November 30, 2001. It's a typical practice session for Japan's signature sport, defying more than a thousand years of tradition that forbids females from even setting foot in a sacred sumo ring. Note His Neat Bikini?

Sex romps are being given out as Christmas bonuses by some of Australia's biggest retailers.
Sales staff are increasingly being offered sex parties at brothels instead of cash.
One brothel madam told BBC News Online she was struggling to keep up with demand from corporate customers.
"December is our busiest month," said Mary-Anne Kenworth, who runs a business in Perth, Western Australia.  "We increase our turnover by at least 25% during the festive season."  She said it was no different to buying someone a box of chocolates.  For more on this click here.

Sexy bikinis that melt in the mouth
It's slinky. It's sexy. But above all, that side-laced miniskirt and barely-there bustier top being paraded on the catwalk are truly edible.
World-renowned French fashion designers indulged in their passion for chocolate this week, ditching their
usual chiffons and silks in favour of mouthwatering ingredients in what has become a yearly celebration of the cocoa bean.
Model after model emerged on the catwalk wearing stunning evening dresses, tailored suits, glamorous
ensembles and natty beach wear that on first inspection would not be out of place in the world fashion capital's ready-to-wear collections.
