McPete Sez GINETTE PROVOST FLATOW ![]() Biography She started at the age of 16 as a part time sales person with Diana ready to wear stores and stayed in the retail industry for 21 years in different positions, as store manager, buyer and entrepreneur in the music recording industry in Canada. In 1989, she was hired as an wholesale agent and territory manager for the whole Quebec province for the lingerie sales agency « Laurette Korngold » who had at that time the best selling lingerie line « Claudel », Isotoner, french underwear products like Aubade ( since that time a very important and successfull marketing item at the Moment Intime stores), Simone Perelle, Diva, Nicole Miller accessories, Bill Blass, Linda lingerie and Gay Lure etc. (Sales were 6 millions a year for the Quebec territory). In 1995 she started with the sales agency Sheldon Mazoff for trade shows in montreal and quebec during the seasons with prestigious lines like Jones New York . In 1995 she studied Import-Export at Mc Gill and in 1997 International Trade at Bois de Boulogne college. 1995 to 2002, she attended many fashion trade shows in New York, Las Vegas and Toronto. 1995 to 2001 she was an international marketing lingerie consultant for different foreign companies from France, Spain, Colombia, Chile and Mexico. In 2001 she was a fashion marketing teacher at the Lasalle college in Montrιal, 200 of her students graduated and are now employed. In 2002, she traveled the whole Tunisia to qualify apparel manufacturers. In 2002 she was an agent for Canada and United States for NEW BODY LINE, a seamless underwear and ready to wear manufacturer in Tunisia also distributor of Santoni machines in Tunasia and DEBAZIAN in Chile for lingerie and maternity items. In 2003, she was an agent in Canada for the Belgium retail chain Prι-Maman In 2003, she opened her marketing agency in Brooklyn with her husband Charles Flatow and is completing at the same time a master in distance education 2004, the FASHION TOURS in Italia and Paris will start for the fashion marketing executives who wish to follow the luxury market in Europe |
