ILG To Cut 186 Workers
Sock firm International Legwear Group is planning to lay off 186 workers at its plants in Hildebran and Hickory, according to a report.
ILG is reportedly planning to make the layoffs as it restructures its 
operations from manufacturing to distributing.

             in February 

CURVENV, the newest addition to the formidable group of shows active during Las Vegas Fashion Week is ready for a strong inaugural entrance. For the first time in the West, fashion lingerie is receiving the attention professional buyers have been anticipating. 
Seventy two leading brands will spread their Fall-Winter 2007 collections for women and men in the Grand Ballroom of the Venetian Hotel, a few steps away from the Magic Show whose offer they complement.
CURVENV sampling of domestic and international brands reflects their respective weight and popularity in the market place. All major categories are represented: foundations, plus-sizes, daywear -- sleepwear and loungewear make a strong showing due to the season- shapewear, maternity, hosiery; men's underwear and men's loungewear gain visibility.
Leaders such as Wacoal, Le Mystere, La Perla Group, DKNY underwear, Donna Karan Intimates, will show alongside full-figure specialists Eveden, Prima Donna, Marie Jo, Panache, Freya, Goddess, Fantasie. 
Eveden has chosen CURVENV to launch Fauve, its new ultra-feminine line for the full-figured.
Established designers like Princess tam. tam, Only Hearts, Hanky Panky will interact with young upcoming designers Ritratti, Jacalyn Bennett, Smart Ass, Lavit Spoylt, Chiari.
The foundations and daywear category will be represented by La Perla Black Label, Joelle, Malizia by La Perla, Occhi Verdi, Montelle Intimates, BB Curves, Soulution Cami, La Cosa, V.P.M, V.I.P, Va Bien, Ultra-lift, Sally Jones, Gafa, Gossard London.
Zovo Lingerie, a destination store in Seattle will be launching its own line of superb versatile homewear that can easily be worn as daywear. The collection is made of knits and sumptuous fabrics.
Shapewear leading specialists Rago, Lacette by Rago, Sassybax, AFAP Fashion, Squeem Magical Lingerie will reveal their newest creations for a perfect figure.
The sleepwear/loungewear category features such international reference brands as Pluto, Arlotta by Chris Arlotta, Arlotta Studio, Crabtree and Evelyn, Fernando Sanchez, FS2 by Fernando Sanchez, Flora Nikrooz, Mary Green, Claire Pettibone, CPJ's, Feraud, Rosch Creative Culture, Malizia Sleepwear, Joelle Sleepwear, Blanche Fleur, Epifania, P.James, Cool Sets, a special line made with CoolBalance performance fabric.
Men's fashion is getting its share. Men's underwear and sleepwear are not only in traditional intimate apparel stores and men's stores but gain presence in department stores, online venues as men's tastes become more sophisticated. Featured brands will include Puma Bodywear, GrigioPerla, Boss Black, Boss Orange/Hugo Boss, Giulio, ManSilk, P.Jamas.
Hosiery will be represented by La Perla sophisticated lines and Puma legwear.
Accessories are made of innovative brands such as Garment Guard with its skin-colored or black discreet adhesive against perspiration, Bra (g), the bra bag, an ingenious bag to protect bras' shape while traveling, Sassynips, concealers to wear inside soft-cup bras.
Maternity needs will be met with Bella Materna, a lifestyle brand made of wonderful fabrics that combines comfort, fashion and looks, swimwear will include Panache Swim with its Spring-Summer 2007 collections available for immediate delivery and the Bridal category will include Classy Bride, Simply Charming, and two major vendors in this industry segment.
CURVENV conceived by two industry specialists, Laurence Teinturier and Jean-Luc Teinturier pursues its goal of creating new business opportunities for all intimate apparel professional. A special program of hands-on seminars lead by industry specialists will be offered free of charge.
On Wednesday, February 14 at 3:00 PM "Successful Retailing by the Numbers" led by Alan Thurgood, CPA/President of Ensign Systems is designed to help retailers increase their store efficiency and profitability.
Eveden Fitting Academy, an extremely successful training program in Europe is making its entrance in the U.S. The full-figure specialist will share its fitting expertise and train retailers and department stores buyers: At CURVENV a special fitting session and an introduction to the Academy's services will be conducted every day during the show at 11AM by Frederika Zappe, Eveden International Sales Specialist.
To celebrate Valentine's Day and network with industry peers in a relaxed atmosphere, the CURVENV team is inviting buyers, exhibitors and press representatives to a Champagne party will will take place on the premises on Valentines Day at 6PM.
CURVENV will return to Las Vegas on August 27, 28, and 29, 2007 to present the Spring/Summer 2008 collections. Renowned swimwear and beachwear brands in addition to numerous brands in the existing categories will join the current roster and offer buyers the winning assortment they are looking for.

MasterCard Wedding
You got to love this guy... 
It was a huge wedding with about 300 guests. After the wedding, at the reception, the groom got up on stage with a microphone to talk to the crowd. He said he wanted to thank everyone for coming, many from long distances, to support them at their wedding.
He especially wanted to thank the bride's and his family and to thank his new father-in-law for providing such a lavish reception.
As a token of his deep appreciation he said he wanted to give everyone a special gift just from him.
So taped to the bottom of everyone's chair, including the wedding party was an envelope. He said this was his gift to everyone, and asked them to open their envelope.
Inside each manila envelope was an 8x10 glossy of his bride having sex
with the best man.
The groom had gotten suspicious of them weeks earlier and had hired a private detective to tail them.
After just standing there, just watching the guests' reactions for a couple of minutes, he turned to the best man and said, "F--- you!"
Then he turned to his bride and said, "F--- you!" 
Then he turned to the dumbfounded crowd and said, "I'm outta here"
He had the marriage annulled first thing in the morning.
While most people would have canceled the wedding immediately after finding out about the affair, this guy goes through with the charade, as if nothing were wrong.
His revenge--making the bride's parents pay over $32,000 for a 300 guest wedding and reception, and best of all, trashing the bride's and best man's reputations in front of 300 friends and family members.
This could be a MasterCard "priceless" commercial....

Dilip: the USA is still a very large country. Get out of the LA market, and explore other markets. There are customers' looking for your types of fabrics. Finding them, is called "work" and we all do it, every day.
