The Red Bra Ladies
Red bra straps may be peeking out of women's blouses soon - and in public, no less.
If you spot one, chances are it could be worn by a member of the Red Bra Ladies, a group of women from across the county that gets together for fun and charity work.
"Every time we would go down to have lunch, we were inundated by the Red Hat Ladies," said Casey Carrigan-Pane, the founder and president of the Red Bra Ladies and a New Hope resident.
"We thought we should start something a little more racy," she said. "And we were a younger organization, so that's how we got the Red Bra Ladies."
The group of 15 close friends often met for cocktails and movies, but when two acquaintances of the group died of brain aneurysms, the women decided to do more.
Their main focus each year will be to raise funds for research into brain aneurysms and they'll host a walk to raise money for people with kidney disease.
A third, different, event will be added every year, based on an issue important to group members.
This year, they plan a Christmas fund drive for the Gilda House in Warminster, a place where families dealing with cancer can get therapy and support. Gilda Radner was a popular "Saturday Night Live" comedian who died of cancer.
"We want to do something close to our hearts and our members' hearts," said Karen Quenzer of Lower Makefield.
Since the group started in early September, it has grown to more than 80 members and hopes to keep expanding.
Carrigan-Pane said there's only requirement to attend the meeting. "You have to wear a red bra."

 Adult Novelty Store Takes
   Fight to Federal Court
An attorney for a multi-state chain of adult novelty stores asked a federal appeals court to force the city of Roy, Utah, to set clear standards in a licensing ordinance, saying it is unconstitutionally vague.
In May 2001, several months after Doctor John's opened a store in Roy, about 30 miles north of Salt Lake City, the City Council approved an ordinance setting operating hours for such businesses and requiring them and their employees to obtain city licenses.
Attorney Andrew McCullough told a three-judge panel of the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that a designation as a sexually oriented business could deter some female shoppers, which he said comprise nearly half the clientele.
After Doctor John's sued, a federal judge in Utah upheld the ordinance, saying it appeared to be a reasonable measure to combat crime and other problems that sometimes arise from the sale of explicit materials.
Most such ordinances around the country define a store as a sexually oriented business if a certain percentage of its merchandise is sexually explicit, or if such merchandise accounts for a certain percentage of revenue, McCullough said.
In Roy's case, the ordinance requires a sexually oriented business license for stores where city officials determine a ''significant and substantial'' portion of merchandise is sexually explicit.
Attorney Robert Keller, who represents the city, said such discretion is crucial so officials can determine on a case-by-case basis which stores can operate with a general license and
which need the special license.
Judge Robert Henry said, ''This looks to me like you don't want them there and you're not going to give them an answer'' on standards for designation as sexually oriented.
Keller said the ordinance allows Doctor John's to sell as much sexually explicit material as it wants, as long as it obtains a sexually oriented business license.
McCullough asked the appeals court to set specific standards for how much explicit material a store can sell before it has to be regulated as a sexually oriented business. He said the store would comply with reasonable standards.
Keller said the Doctor John's store in Roy devotes about one-third of its floor space to explicit videos, sex toys and other such items, and obtains up to 40% of its revenue from such merchandise. The remainder is devoted to lingerie and other items that could be sold under a general business license.

Why I Fired My Secretary.
Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning.
I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my wife would be pleasant and say," Happy Birthday!", and possibly have a small present for me.
As it turned out, she barely said good morning, let alone "Happy Birthday."
I thought...Well, that's marriage for you, but the kids....They will remember.
My kids came bounding down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word. So when I left for the office, I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.
As I walked into my office, my secretary Jane said, "Good Morning Boss, and by the way Happy Birthday ! "
It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered.
I worked until one o'clock, when Jane knocked on my door and said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day outside, and it is your Birthday, what do you say we go out to lunch, just you and me."
I said, "Thanks, Jane, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go !"
We went to lunch.
But we didn't go where we normally would go.
She chose instead at a quite bistro with a private table.
We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously.
On the way back to the office, Jane said, "You know, It's such a beautiful day...We don't need to go straight back to the office,
Do We ?"
I responded,
"I guess not. What do you have in mind ?"
She said," Let's drop by my apartment, it's just around the corner."
After arriving at her apartment, Jane turned to me and said, " Boss, if you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom for just a moment. I'll be right back."
"O.k." I nervously replied.
She went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, she came out carrying a huge birthday cake ...
Followed by my wife, my kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing "Happy Birthday".
And I just sat there...
On the couch...
Naked.
