                Flies on a Log 
Beth Vorhees of public TV fame said her daughter, Diana, a third-grader, was to give a demonstration speech at school. She planned to demonstrate how to make "Flies on a Log" which consists of peanut butter spread on a stalk of celery with raisins on it. 
The morning of her speech, Diana took out everything she needed and put it on the kitchen counter, ready to take it to school. Unfortunately, when the girl and her mother left for school, they forgot to take the items. 
Diana's mother dropped her off and went home to get the stuff. 
The celery was gone. The raisins were gone. The peanut butter had been put away. 
"Oh," said Diana's father. "I had that stuff for breakfast." 
Diana's faithful mother rushed to gather up more ingredients and rush them to school with an apology to the teacher and an explanation of what happened. 
"Gee," said Diana's teacher, "that's a first -- 'My dad ate my homework.'"

Kiss Me Deadly A/W 2012

            

Pictures from Kiss Me Deadly’s new Twisted Fairytales collection have been leaking for a while. I saw the 6 foot tall banner of Morgana as Little Red Riding Hood at the Paris lingerie shows, and just a few weeks ago, a photo of the new Jezebel knicker (shown above) went 
viral on Facebook and Tumblr. But Catherine usually tries to save the full set of images The Lingerie Addict. After all, she knows we’re some of her biggest fans!
I’ve been in love with Kiss Me Deadly for literally as long as I’ve been blogging. Not only is Catherine herself engaging, funny, and just all-around fantastic, her fans seem to be too. And I like that she changes up the traditionally passive poses of lingerie models with the occasional odd weapon. Or three.

Jezebel:
The first photo is the one that went viral on Facebook and Twitter. I own every single version of the Jezebel knicker to date, and I am really excited about the Swiss Dot pattern on this one. The knicker itself is in stock now, while the bra, garter belt, and brief are available for advance order. Catherine wrote me a note to say, “We do not recommend poisoning apples or going mining in it. You should use proper safety gear for both of those activities.”

            
            

Tempest Rose:
I’m not usually one for soft pink lingerie, but I am loving the tulip shape of this bra. I don’t think I own (or have even seen, for that matter) anything quite like it. The Tempest Rose set isn’t in stock 
now, but is available for pre-order, and so are the matching UK-made girdles. Catherine offered this interesting fact, “You can actually go through someone’s foot with a high heel. If only Cinderella 
had realised this rather than messing about with rodent assistants.”

            
            
            
            

Elle:
Out of everything here, I think the Elle robe is my favorite piece of the new collection. It’s also a recreation of a genuine vintage robe KMD used in some of it’s very first photoshoots. The Elle robe will be available for purchase starting in August, and though I don’t fancy myself an evil queen, Maleficient seems to be the perfect fairytale character for all the drama and glamour this robe requires.

            
            

Red Sirena:
I love the Sirena bra. It is magical. The lift, the cleavage, the boost. My very first Kiss Me Deadly item was the navy blue Sirena bra (which I wore until it fell apart), so I am super excited there’s a new 
Sirena release this season. The Sirena is available at the start of September, but I can see this being the perfect gift for December as well.

The Collaboration of the Founders Set the Stage for a Sold-Out Show
California Exotic Novelties, the world’s largest and most respected pleasure product manufacturer, declares the recent Summer ANME 2012 Show a huge success. 
Held at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, July 14th through 16th, the premiere B2B industry trade show is the collaborative efforts of the five ANME Founders: California Exotic Novelties, Doc Johnson, NassToys, Pipedream Products, and Topco Sales. This year’s show was so popular, it was completely sold out.
Susan Colvin, President and CEO of California Exotic Novelties, says, “As one of the five Founders, I can personally attest to the hard work and planning we all put into the ANME Show. It is great to be a part of this team and to be able to provide a true business-to-business environment for all members of the industry. Knowing that virtually everyone who came to the show was a qualified buyer makes all the difference, and it is one of the reasons the ANME Show is as successful as it is.”
Highlights of the show include the response to the product collections. With bright, trendy colors, boutique-style packaging, and luxurious materials, California Exotic Novelties made buyers take notice.
“The show had a very positive overall spirit. Everyone was in a good mood and had a great outlook. I didn’t hear people talking about the economy or soft sales. It was invigorating to know that our industry is as vital, optimistic and as vibrant as ever!” says Colvin.
The Body & Soul Collection, Black Label Anniversary Edition Jack Rabbits, E.V.A., Girl Next Door, Posh, and Power Stud are new collections to the company’s family of brands. To augment the festive environment during the ANME Show, California Exotic Novelties held a Twitter hashtag contest. Attendees of the show were invited to @CalExtotics with #CENANME12 for a chance to win a new iPad. The winner of the contest was selected randomly after the show, and it is Tod Hunter.

Invista Installs ADN
        Technology 
Fiber producer Invista has selected its Orange facility in Texas as the first location to install its adiponitrile (ADN) technology, which is a key ingredient for making nylon 6,6.
The technology involves a new butadiene-based chemistry, which Invista claims improves product yields and ease of operations and requires a lower annual maintenance investment compared to existing technology. It also delivers significant air emission and waste reductions. 
The company said it will invest more than US$100m in the Orange facility in the next 18 months.
Bill Greenfield, executive vice president of Invista's nylon intermediates business, said: "The required environmental and construction permits have already been approved, the detailed project engineering work is nearly finished and we have already begun the site work.
"We expect to begin commissioning some of the new units approximately a year from today and hope to be in full production by mid-2014."
The technology has been operating at a pilot-scale facility at the company's research and development center in Orange. Invista has invested more than $40m over four years in developing the technology.
Invista said it expects to install the nylon technology at its other ADN facilities in the upcoming years.

Delta Galil Announced 
        Q2 Boost
Israel-based underwear manufacturer Delta Galil posted a second-quarter net income increase on the back of strong sales.
The company said that net income, before capital gains and one-time items, increased 9% to US$6.1m over the quarter ended June 30. Sales increased 6% to $169.1m over the period.
The company's performance in the quarter reflected the strong business with our biggest customers, which drove solid top-line growth, especially in the US market," said CEO Isaac Dabah.
"In the second half of this year, we expect to benefit from our investment in Schiesser Group, an acquisition that we completed on July 2, 2012, which gives us an even greater presence in branded products and in new global markets."
The company said it has increased its full-year estimates, expecting net income to increase 20-26% to $20-26% on the previous year. It expects sales to rise 19-21% to $810-820m.
