McCartney's
E-Commerce Site
Stella McCartney has launched an e-commerce site in the US.
The company said its online store is part of a global expansion of the brand, having recently also opened
several retail locations worldwide.
The e-commerce site sells Spring/Summer 2008 collections, including ready to wear, and McCartney's
cruelty-free shoes, bags and accessories, and offers
carbon neutral delivery options. Each item is available to shop separately or "by look," styled by McCartney,
with a video option to see the clothes in movement.
Its US launched will be followed by a UK website this autumn.

Sexy Bastard Debuts New
Promo Tool
at Lingerie Americas
by Luis Paredes
Sexy Bastard, Andrew Buckler's men's underwear line made its first appearance at Lingerie Americas this month and showed off its newest collection of men's boxer-briefs along with the company's new advertising tool - a 23" x 38" poster designed as an in-store display.
The poster features a model grinning slyly at the camera while sitting on the loo reading a smutty magazine. The model, clad with tattoos down the length of his arm, parts of his chest and legs looks more like a rock star taking a break between sets and has the company's newest boxer-brief down around his ankles. The Sexy Bastard logo is show across the model's black tank top.
On the reverse side, the poster features all of the different boxer-brief styles, tank tops, and socks available to customers with a brief description and style number. As an added bonus, the reverse side features an erotic tryst between the model and woman in the same bathroom. The boxer-briefs are, of course, prominently featured.
"The poster is a great tool for stores and customers. For the store, it helps them promote the product, sell it and reorder it. For the customers, it makes it easy for them to view their favorite styles and buy it," said Marina Lelchuck,
VP of sales and merchandising at Buckler.
Lelchuck also noted that Buckler had a direct hand in the art direction of the poster and at Lingerie Americas, the buyers were some of the first to receive the posters and enjoy the edgy and sexy look of Andrew Buckler's Sexy Bastard.

Baby Turtle
A baby turtle was standing at the bottom of a large tree and with a deep sigh, started to climb. About an hour later, he reached a very high branch and walked along to the end. He turned and spread all four flippers and launched himself off the branch. On landing at the bottom in a pile of soft, dead leaves, he shook himself off, walked back to the bottom of the tree and with a sigh started to climb.
About an hour later, he again reached the very high branch, walked along, turned, spread his flippers and flung himself off the branch. Again, he landed on the bottom, shook himself off, went to the bottom of the tree, sighed and started climbing.
Watching these proceedings from the end of the branch were two little birds. Mummy bird turned to Daddy bird and said, "Don't you think it's time we told him he was adopted?"
Dinnigan Teams With Target
From Paris to the people, Collette Dinnigan is the latest designer to team with Target in a deal that will see her luxurious designs sell to the masses for less than $20. Dinnigan has designed a discount lingerie collection, Wild Hearts, for the budget retailer, which will be rolled out in selected stores nationally in two weeks.
Unlike Zac Posen's limited edition collection, Dinnigan's range will be continually updated and replenished until at least the end of the year.
Dinnigan said she hoped the collection would sell well enough for it to be stocked in Target permanently.
"My teaming with (Target) was never a one-off," Dinnigan said.
"I wanted to do this with a company that could grow (lingerie) as a big department in their stores, and I think, especially in lingerie, they need a good quality product."
Until now, Dinnigan's designs, which she shows in Paris twice a year, have only been available at high-price points, but she doubts the collaboration will cheapen her brand.
"I always thought there'd be two reactions: 'Oh my god, why Target?' and 'Fantastic, we can get it at a good price'," she said.
Dinnigan's Wild Hearts collection will feature fabrics never before found in lingerie at Target, such as silk. The range will include french knickers, corsets, chemises, balconette and plunge bras, briefs and boy shorts in champagne, cream, raspberry, black and chocolate.
Target has been on a roll recruiting top designers to create affordable versions of their designs for the retailer since the success of Stella McCartney's 2007 range, which sold out within hours in some stores. McCartney was followed by Australian designers Josh Goot, Yeojin Bae and Gail Sorronda.
The Wild Hearts collection goes on sale from April 17.
